Still waiting to hear from ReBag who they recommend as a “verifiable authenticator” so that I can find out if a bag they sold to me is fake. They state that if a bag is found to be a fake they will reimburse no matter the timeframe. They are the only resale company that has an outlet sale dept that may likely sell fakes. Just unbelievable. You dont see this on Fashionphile or even Yoogi’s Closet.

Rebag is one of the worst I ever experience , i much prefer fashionphile. They use robot quote for luxury handbag buyout / trade. If they don’t, we wait 4-5 days to get they even low ball offers . The whole business is a joke .
Same on both ends of selling and buying.

When buying, I was intending on getting a proenza Schouler ps1 medium in black with a strap per the description. It was final sale but have been searching for the old PS1 with the softer leather. Bag arrives with no strap. They claim it’s final sale. I call chase and gets resolved over a few months.

On selling, I’ve been lowballed so many times. I’ve noticed when I tried to submit an item recently that they are not accepting a lot of items especially SLGs.

I had bought a new LV key pouch from boutique in Jan 2023 for a friend’s bday I was supposed to see in February. The trip got cancelled but my return window to LV was over. Since trip was overseas, it was easier to buy from the LV France website with my European card and send it over instead of paying to ship it over and customs etc so now I had an extra one. I submitted the item saying it was brand new - has been sitting in my closet for two months unopened. Right now the key pouch retails around $350 + tax and they offered me $175… Decided to treat myself and keep it.

End of Story: Yesterday, my UPS agent got a Rebag manager's email from his driver and copied me on that. The email was then directed to the Claims Manager (I now know who that person is, if anybody runs into similar problem please let me know, I'll send you the email). In less than 10 minutes, I received an "Item got checked-in" email for my missing item and followed by a payment email. My "Damaged UPS Investigation Opened" email thread also got a response from the Claims Manager, saying the case was closed by UPS, and a refund has been processed back to my ACH details on file. The money hit my bank this morning! Though this has been an exhausting long journey, I'm glad they did the right thing and paid me.
Hi, your thread has been such a comfort to me. Knowing that someone has been in the same situation has really helped. I shipped an item to Rebag which they claimed the box was empty. After going through pretty much the same process with ups, better business beurau, and Rebag they are refusing to recover the cost of the lost item. They have been issued an insurance check but are stating that the box “never contained an item”. Do you have any contact or advice on how I could get the money for the item?

I have purchased one item from them that I couldn't find anywhere else. Since then I've stopped looking at their site because their prices aren't good. For example, I just got a bag on eBay for $386 including tax. Rebag has the same bag, in worse condition, for $735. Even with the 10% coupon, still a bad price. I'm watching a bag on Fashionphile that is $480. The identical bag is $935 on Rebag.

Adding my experience as a Rebag buyer here:

I recently purchased a hard to find leather bag described as in “very good” condition. The listing disclosed an odor in the textile interior. The bag was listed on both their site and eBay; I emailed them through eBay and asked what kind of odor it was, cigarette smoke perhaps? They responded right away that it was a “storage” smell. Cig smoke is a dealbreaker but a storage smell I could deal with. I purchased the bag from their website during a recent promo.

The bag arrived and the scratches and marks in the leather inside and out are much more prominent than the photos. The color of the bag was completely different in person (photos showed a warm camel beige bag but IRL it was more cool taupe-beige). And the odor was more than a musty storage smell; it was definitely cigarette smoke, but faint. I returned the bag today, return shipping waived, and hopefully they’ll refund me in full.
Hello. Just reading through this. How does one get the return shipping waived?

Thought I would share my recent Rebag selling experience. I've sold to them in the past with no issue, using mostly the Claire instant quote. This time I sent in a Gucci Ophidia bag, which I had bought brand new from Gucci about a year ago, and included all the original tags, care booklets, box, dust bag, etc. They declined to purchase it after they received due to "internal guidelines" and shipped the bag back to me. I found this irritating because the bag was in pristine condition, I had only used twice for brief periods of time and they didn't give me any specific clarification on why they decided not to purchase. I received the bag back today and the Gucci box is now torn and dented and also all the stuffing I had in my bag is no longer there. Not major issues, the bag appears to be fine, but I am pretty disappointed with the whole process and will not be selling to them in the future.
Wish I would've checked here before sending anything to them. I have a Gucci camera bag I bought during the pandemic (impulse purchase) and it's gotten little use because it's too small. Got a really good quote for it and sent it in, and got the same vague "rejected due to internal guidelines". It's in pristine condition, and I know its authentic, but now I'm terrified of the condition it'll be in when it's returned. Never again.

Rebag sold me a fake item. I know because i have the same line of the item and i compared them. Beware. Not doing business with them anymore, wether buying or selling. Also, theyre only ever responsive if you are selling to them an item that is high selling or in demand. Ive also read scary stories.

That is terrible! Can you share the general category of the item?

Rebag also charges for shipping when you buy and shipping when you return. You cant use your own shipping method of choice. $20 for a small item, really? Inflated shipping fee with a portion if it going to their pockets. My package arrived in the most non luxurious box by the way.

Hi! Would you mind sharing your contact info for the claims manager? I’m afraid I might be having some issues with rebag as well. Thank you

I discovered rebag about a year ago. Ive since made many purchases and trades with them. ALL of their quotes were higher than Fashionphile and I now no longer bother to submit to both of them. I also like their trade option which gives me an additional 15% store credit plus tax savings on the sale. With their near weekly discount codes and specials, you can find some pretty great deals and none of my Chanel or Hermes purchased from have been fake. I get everything authenticated by reputable 3rd parties post purchase.

Thank you for the information, I currently have two quotes through Rebag now that are two times higher what I've been quoted through Yoogi's (I don't mess with FP anymore), but I've been scared to send them in because there have been a rash of youtube videos recently talking about their Rebag nightmares. Maybe I'll give them a try.
