Thank you mgwonline. I snagged a brand new 33 soft Ricky in truffle. The minute I opened the box, I instantly took a liking to it and can definitely see it being an every day work bag. The quality and feel is impeccable. I anticipated getting a thinner bag strap based on the photos I've seen. However, I've spotted a thicker bag strap for some other Rickys and prefer that. I hope the bag begins to slouch with use.

Although not an exact match, I've ordered a thicker leather strap from Etsy to use instead.

I am a fan of other specific designers and that's how I got involved with TPF. However, I am a little disillusioned with some of the price hikes recently which are a bit obscene IMO. Not to mention the hoops to jump in order to obtain certain styles.

It's forced me to re-think current and future purchases and really start to use my bags - instead of just storing and admiring from afar. Admittedly, I am starting to gravitate toward other designers as a result and know I am not alone.

I really like how the Ricky is under the radar. And that you can purchase it on sale and second hand with some ease. But at the same time, if you have the means and desire to spend thousands on an exotic, the choice is there also.

Looks like I am in good company here!

I wish my 33 had the thicker strap and not the thin strap but I have it off the bag at the moment anyway as I use my 33 for work files and such. I bought a small drawstring back in January that I've been using daily. It's the perfect every day bag for me. I do feel bad that I haven't used my mini as much since buying the drawstring.

I've never been the type to buy a bag and not use them. I need my bags to be durable and able to be used everyday. I've had my 33 for 2.5 years now and have used it damn close to every day and you'd never know it. Granted I don't beat my bags, but I don't baby them either if that makes sense.

Earlier this year I made the decision that once I pay off my student loans in 2.5 years (or less) I'm going to buy a birkin. I'll go the pre-loved route but it's a bag I've wanted for 10+ years now and that will be a nice reward for 10 years in business and no debt.

Yes, I absolutely love the quality of my Ricky. It's a real dream and I think worth the full price, but I'm still very glad with the price I got mine secondhand! I definitely try to use mine a lot. Mine is in a cream color so it's definitely developed wear, but I love it! If you have a picture of yours, I'd love to see!

Good luck with your Birkin journey! Definitely let your Ricky friends here know when you manage to get it :) The Ricky is a little similar to the B, although a different style. My Ricky has definitely sated my desire for a B, although one day once I've reached some financial and career goals I'd love to treat myself to one too. That won't be for several years for me! When you get your B, do you think you'll still love and use your Rickys, or would the B be the ultimate and only bag for you?

Yes, I'll post a photo once I receive the new thicker strap. The truffle color is unique so difficult to buy a strap to match - but I hope it at least compliments the bag.

I have been extremely fortunate with a couple of B's - and when I received the Ricky, it reminded me of them due to the opening and flaps. But it's a completely different style! I agree.

Good to know the 33 is durable. Good luck with your B journey - it's worth it.

Thank you! I certainly will. It's going to take me a bit because I think it would be stupid to buy a bag like that while still having student loans (my opinion anyway) so I have a solid plan to have those gone in 2.5 years, most likely less. That will also be around the time I celebrate 10 years of owning my business so it'll be a double duty celebration gift to myself.

You know I'm not sure. When I got my ricky bags, I all but stopped using my other bags. I'm sure my 33 will still get used daily as my work bag, but I have been eyeing up a garden party tote from H but I've already compromised with my husband on the birkin being my only BAG (notice how I was specific with bag lol) purchase for a bit. So in the meantime I can see myself still using the 33 and the B together. Also my mini ricky for times when I don't want to carry a bag by the handles and need a crossbody.

Good to know the 33 is durable. Good luck with your B journey - it's worth it.

Thank you! My husband thinks I'm slightly nuts but he doesn't understand my love of bags and that's ok. He has his toys, and I'll have mine.

SO excited! I have been hunting this bracelet since January. Haven't seen one pop up anywhere. Happened to check TRR tonight and there she was. Didn't even hesitate. Will post real life photos once I receive!

I've been a little bad this month. I bought a Calvi card holder from Hermes at the very beginning of the month plus some other pieces here and there from various places.... oops :yucky:

Well I received the bracelet today. It just fits my wrist, however there is some damage that wasn't noted in the listing. I sent an email to see if they would do anything for me because I don't want to return it but I may. Bummed.
