Well- I ordered it- and sent it back directly!
The leather was such a disappointment!
Felt and smelled like plastic and was miles away from what I was expecting from a 3000€ bag!

Also, to put things in perspective, hardly any bag today, designer or otherwise, is worth the full price. This is my opinion, understand.
This handbag business has gotten out of hand regarding pricing.

No- I ordered directly from RL- the bag was shipped directly from Italy- think it came from their manufacturer.
I had a ' normal' soft Ricky- the leather was great and I only sold it as the colour was not 'mine'
This one felt like a ' low budged version' to me.
It looked nice but it didn't feel so!

I bought a small drawstring Ricky and sent it back. The leather was not soft or supple, and there were places on the inside top of the bag where the leather showed fading already. I wonder if manufacturing has changed. From what year was your Soft Ricky?

My brown Ricky was from 2016-the one I just sent back came directly from Italy so I think is was made this year.
They must have changed something when the quality goes down.

I found this picture in a blog-it is the one in the natural leather, that I had and has been permanently used for about 10 years.
Love the way it relaxes. Beside that is quite dirty-the leather looks so soft and nice!

No-that one is the one I wished to have purchased from RL.
Isn't it beautiful?

Mine was dark brown with purple inside.

I liked the brown but the shade was of a kind that never matched 100%and that made me never use it! Too many competitors
No black- red!Cherry red!
That was my first choice until I found the brown for a very good Price.

I like the look of the brown; can match lots of things!!
I do like the soft Ricky. It is a unique look.
I think I am going to dress mine up with an LV bandeau when they come out with the new fall collection. Hopefully there will be a nice print this year.
I'm sorry your bag was not as you had hoped. Be sure to tell RL about it and get some feedback!

Pardon me for my ignorance, but what differentiates the "soft" Ricky? I love the way that the gorgeous Ricky that Muppet18 posted softens. That's the kind of Ricky I would want!

Hi! No worries! The soft Ricky is a more slouchy leather The original was more rigid, but would soften as it aged. I think that is correct and hope it makes sense! Looking at the website, the original was more akin to the burnished soft Ricky that is online now in vachetta, $3500. That bag looks soooooo great!! But I'll bet its heavy...

I like brown ,too! But I have too many other bags that I used instead my Ricky.
The brown was...somewhere between chocolate and mud-a darker or lighter shade had filled a 'colour gap' in my closet

What I was expecting was a leather a little like the Barenia or that natural calf that Celine has-only softer.

Does anybody know the difference between the normal Ricky and the soft Ricky beside the leather?
I found several ones that did not seem to be that soft but looked the same.
