Hi everyone,
You may know this, but I didn't. Ralph Lauren does not repair our handbags. Some threads let loose and came off on one of the buckles of my Ricky, and I contacted the Ralph Lauren company. I was told this-- Our handbags are manufactured as a complete unit, so we're unable to offer replacement pieces or a repair service. Maybe this is common practice among other handbag makers also. I have never had to have a handbag repaired before. They did tell me to contact the store that I bought it from, to see if they could take care of it.

Wha?!? Wow... I could see this for the Ralph Ralph Lauren bags, but that's bothersome for something like the Ricky. Thanks for the heads up.

Yes, I knew this and I think that is poor service. If RL is going to make high end handbags, RL needs to supply high end service. While contemplating a purchase, I called ahead of time and asked CS what would be done if I lost a strap, needed a replacement, etc. They said they don't keep parts or provide service.
There are some reputable leather care places who provide great service, but I still think RL needs to remedy this.

Thankfully I have a great leather guy so if something happens I wouldn't think twice but I know not everyone is lucky

You could also try finding a local leather repair place. Look for places that repair shoes and go from there. Maybe take in another bag or something to test them out

Anyone have any modshots of their Ricky's? I'm thinking of buying a mini or a 33 - can't decide what would work better for me! If anyone could share weights too that would be great!!

This is the 33. Love love love it. Perfect size. When shipped the label said it was about 6 pounds but I think it's more like 4/5. I don't have much in it either so it's pretty light.

I was considering the 27 but I don't like the look of it if that makes sense. The 27 is only 2 inches shorter and 2 inches smaller width wise.

I use the crossbody strap here and there like at the grocery store or out shopping for awhile but for the most part I use the handles. Easy and comfortable to carry.

Out of all of my bags this is my favorite and I don't say that lightly

Ha! I'm watching Downton Abbey re runs; Season 3, Ep 1. At about 19 minutes the lawyer is leaving the Crawley house with a briefcase that looks like a Ricky Bag!!

thank you! I've been using since I received for the most part unless I switched to a crossbody. I love it more each day. I thought about getting a small crossbody style but I don't love them as much as the 33s.

They have Ricky 33s at the outlet…I'm not sure the price point though I forgot [emoji22] I can send you the SAs info though and you can email her! And of course it was relatively limited, but more colorful than the current collection (which seems to me like it's full of neutrals). I clearly remember seeing red and purple at the outlet. They also had Ricky bucket bags.

If you know a RL employee, you can get one for 50% off. If you're okay with secondhand, you can find a good one for around $1000.

Thank you so much! I would love to receive the SA info. Unfortunately, i do not know a RL employee. My dream ricky is the 33 Gold (tan leather) with white stitching. I doubt I will ever find one pre-loved
