Quote from fashionphile

I got a quote back from Fashionphile recently on a pearl crush square mini (I believe it’s a seasonal but still neutral color). Their buyout price is $3300, which is way below retail, but the same bags on their site are in the low-to-mid $5000s right now.
On the other hand, the quote from ReBag is about $600 more (still below $4000)…
I’m waiting for Ann’s right now but wondering what should be a reasonable price nowadays for bags that cost more than $4500 from boutiques? :hrmm:
Ok I got a quote from Ann’s that my net profit could be in the low to mid $4k, but it’s consignment rather than buyout.

Anyone has experience with Ann’s that could share how long it might take for a Chanel seasonal bag to sell? Of course they couldn’t predict how fast the bag can be sold, but if it can that’s definitely a better net profit for me (although still at loss)…

Thanks again in advance!

I got a quote for $3000 for a brand new with tags attached square mini. I didn’t sell and kept.

Thanks for sharing!
Just curious to know… Would you do consignment if the profit is around mid-$4000? That’s what I’m getting with Ann’s Fabulous Finds but I’ve never done consignment before… :hrmm:
that's like they will list it for sale at $6500-7900, ask yourself would you buy it for that price right away? planned to buy in a month? how many in the market and what price range? What's the economy like? how much can you afford to sit on it not selling for 3 months? What's the % chance of selling it within 1 month, 2 months etc.

Right now it is very risky time, I had lost some money sold out some bags losing money but holding on some not selling, and sold some made very little money even they could had sold to make 300% profits and almost 100% time sold as buyout.

of course consignment is risky but higher reward, everyone is very different, and sometimes consign can be sold right away, it's just have no guarantee, very much depends on the seller's personality, and some luck.

Thanks that’s a very helpful way to decide in my situation!

I was told by Ann’s that they’re going to sell around low to mid $5k and I get to take 85% of that number. But the risky part is always no buyer and I don’t get to use it neither :\

I really don’t mind holding on to it for a bit longer. It’s just nice to have funds to go to the next bag

How long did it take for some of you to get a quote
I actually had to email Fashionphile customer service after waiting for about a week without hearing back from them, otherwise it seems like we should be getting a quote within 3-5 business days.
Other places may vary though… I’ve sent out quote inquiries to another three places. Two replied me 1-3 days afterwards, the third place did not reply me at all with emails and texts (just asking if they’d contact me but not asking for a quote). That third place was where I got my bag so I was surprised they didn’t want to communicate at all…

Was the 3rd place boutique patina or redeluxe?

maybe it isn't an easy selling item right now, usually that means.
