Quota Bag Thread

So here's a fun hypothetical: what if two people with separate H profiles marry? Does one have to give theirs up and start using the spouse's? Can they continue because their H relationship predates the marriage? Should they just live separately for the sake of their profiles?

(I'm obviously just joking)
I think the more serious question is if they separate… need to write in the prespend in the prenup!

Kelly Pochette is a quota bag everywhere when it is in exotic leather. It is not a quota bag when it is in swift or ostrich.
Wow, that's nice of your store not to consider it a quota, our store is considering all bags with the name kelly in it ( kelly Danse, mini kelly, kelly pochette etc ) a quota and we have to wait another 3 months for the next offer. Our SA said, that may change in the future but for now, due to high demand and low stock, that rule still stands. I have seen rules fluctuate a few times over the last 3 to 4 years, speaking of my local H only. The kelly to go, may also be considered a quota if in exotic and is at our store manager's discretion if in a different leather. I'm also in USA but my sister in a different state, said their boutique does NOT consider kelly pochette in swift a quota, nor a constance, the only thing they consider a quota is a B or K, that blew my mind. :hugs:

How often would you update your wishlist of quota bags? Is that kinda standard practice to have a wishlist in your profile? I don’t have an official wishlist, my SA asked me verbally about what colors and sizes would I want for B/K once. Never have anything written down or put into system, maybe she put it in her own notes after our talk.

Here’s where I will get on my soapbox and get into semantics. A store can “consider it a quota bag” all they want; that doesn’t actually make it a Quota Bag. If one is able to use the same client profile at another store in the same district/country, and NOT have that bag count as a quota bag at the second store then it’s not and never was a Quota Bag.

All sorts of items can push a client into waiting longer for a wishlist birkin. For example, many stores will find it hard to offer a birkin right after a client buys a mini Lindy. That doesn’t make the mini Lindy a quota bag.

Spend enough and it’s easy to get a store to “reconsider” what it defines as a quota bag. Wanting them to look the other way on the two-per-year-max-per-profile limit on actual quota bags is a much costlier affair.

This has been asked before but I suspect the answer will have changed.

Previously Paris was not able to see your spend history from other countries. I hear that is still the case BUT rumor has it they can now see your quota purchase history …..which means if you already received 2 quota at home boutique in single calendar year, it’s very unlikely they will offer you a 3rd quota in Paris. Whereas previously this could’ve been a work around for those who were hoping to purchase more than 2 QBs annually.

Do we know for a fact Paris can see your QB history (history outside of France)?

Yes but sometimes they won’t care in my experience at FSH

Whether they take it into consideration depends on one's relationship with the stores in question. ;)
Thanks!

also do they care “when” you got your last QB? Say you only had 1 QB this year but it shows in your profile you only got it a few weeks ago… does that automatically “disqualify” you (assuming you’re not VIP)?

Can your home store (US) see QB purchases from Paris?
I was told what happens in Paris stays in Paris, in those exact words.
IMO it doesn’t really matter what Paris or my Home store can ‘see,’ bc clearly it is
something that they can choose to ignore depending on circumstances.

ETA: But, my SA says that he can only offer those bags that he is approved for, leading
me to believe that sometimes if we don’t get an offer, it actually may not have anything
to do with us, our profile, or our spend.

My SA in NL told me if they are not the leather specialist they are only to offer the bags they are approved to. So this is in line with what your SA has said. This was at my appointment with him for a wishlist QB early this month.
