My sa offered me a special order spot for this year! hurray for that but I have always wondered about the so called only two quota bags per year rule. I do think if you spent over certain thresheold per year, you can definitely get more than two bags per year but how much exactly like 200k? 500k? 1 million a year on hermes lol?

There is no answer to this. It is based on who you are in addition to what you spend and is still a fairly rare occurrence. I feel like people who could actually accomplish more than two bags a year wouldn’t really be worried about it happening or not so it may be a case of “if you have to ask…”

I've never let on when I'm being exempted from any of H's rules for fear someone makes a huge fuss, and suddenly H has to not only uses 'rules' to ward-off questions/enquiries/demands from customers but also has to be seen to enforce them stringently.

I got really curious on bag quota because on Chinese social media, there have been people saying that you can apply for a third bag if you spent over 200k usd a year and 400k for a fourth bag so on. Obviosuly different countries and stores have their own rules and regulations for customers. In the US, the line is definitely more blurry, whereas customers in China will straight out demand and protest for a bag if they spent like 50k and still got offered no bags. In the US it definitely feels more like realtionship with ur sales plus your spending history, in China people throw money at Hermes lol.

I posted this with the guys' thread, but I think it wasn't the right place to solicit opinions.

For those who are married or have signficant others sharing one H profile, who gets the 2-a-year-max QB offers? Since the female-sized bags (b25, k25, etc.) are much more expensive to buy at resellers, do you automatically prioritize the DW's bag wishes with your H SAs?

What if your DH wants a QB too, say a b35?

Would it not make sense to start a new profile and start building that up? I'm sure you could use the same SA.
As with all things H, the rules seem to vary from store to store but I think in most stores spouses aren’t allowed to have separate profiles. The only way to know is to ask your SA if you can set up a separate profile from your DH as Prada Prince suggested but don’t be surprised if they say no.

My partner and I have separate profiles - always have had - in five stores where we shop regularly across 2 continents. We aren't very scientific about it and often buy things for each other. From what I've seen, we are definitely "allowed" to buy at least two Birkins/Kellys each per year (so 4 total in each country), but, more important, our profiles are considered complementary. If I buy a healthy amount at one store it reflects well on him and vice versa. And, even more important, let's say I did buy two Birkins in a year at one store, and wanted a Kelly - we would just put that third bag on DH's account.

We don't stress about who gets what because honestly 4 iconic bags per year (plus SOs) is more than we would ever want or need, and 8 (across US and France) would be ludicrous ... PLUS "men's" bags like the HAC aren't considered "quota" anyway, and B40s/K40s barely fall into the category.

I have never bought a brand new "flipped" bag at resale and probably never will, but, if we as a couple really wanted to acquire so many new bags in one year that we had to go to resellers, we would, per your question, focus on getting the rarer items in-store. It's not just that smaller bags are more expensive at resale - they are less expensive at retail because H prices by size, not popularity. HTH?

ETA: I guess the tl;dr here is, why share a profile?
ETA again: Per @Prada Prince , yes, we almost always work with the same SA.

Thanks all. Yea, our SA happily puts stuff for both of us on the same profile (mine - the husband's), and we don't pre-spend enough to get 4 bags a year (struggle to get even 1 or 2), so this is more of a question of how the two of you's duke it out amongst yourselves (in a loving way, of course) to determine who gets the next slot.

For us, we think very similar to what @QuelleFromage said. We would never buy at a reseller since there really is a magical experience from buying from H directly (even with all the anxiety and pains and $$$). And even as I was musing about getting a b35 that we can share because it would fit a laptop, it doesn't seem like "good value" to use our next quota bag slot on a bag that's so much cheaper on resale, versus getting a smaller bag that would be (a) more expensive at resale and (b) MSRP's cheaper at H itself.

I am, of course, such a perfect husband to yield to my wife on this.
Just posted to see if there are any stories of epic fights among couples for quotas and how they resolved those differences

How would that "rule" even be implemented? If you and your DH take 2 separate trips by yourselves and make purchases, they would have to put these purchases on 2 different accounts. Can't imagine any store memorizing who's married who.

FWIW my DH and I have our own separate profiles in the system.

I believe they go by mailing address but again some people have been told no when they tried to create separate profiles while others have been able to do separate profiles as you said.
