Quota Bag Thread

Hi. I just started my Hermes journey in the San Francisco store two months ago, and would like to get a neutral birkin 30 or Kelly 28 in 1-3 years. I read that these bags are very hard to get! I would like to purchase several fine jewelry pieces, a pair of sandals, and a belt. I calculated that this will get me to a little over 1:1. I am not a big spender so these are huge splurges for me. My SA, whom I like a lot, is fairly new to Hermes. Can someone help me with these questions:

(1) Do you think the SA’s non seniority will affect the chances of getting a quota bag

(2) is buying mainly fine jewelry, sandals and a belt enough, or would I need to consider other items?

Thanks for all the wonderful advice and information.
Yes I think it’s possible. As long as you’re patient. I don’t think those sizes are as hard to get as let’s say a mini k or a b25. So you have less competition

May I suggest spreading out your shopping spree instead of buying all of the items in one go? It suggests loyalty and longevity.

You may need to buy little things in between big items, I always use tpf and IG to look for what’s new. I’ve never been their fine jewelry fan, so I can’t comment on that. But I’ve bought plenty of their shoes and belts.

It’s all about patience, especially this Covid times! If you’re willing to wait 1-3 years, I’m sure it’s very possible without a very big spend. Good luck!

I just read in another thread that the systems have linked worldwide now? The comment was dated for June 2021 and they were in Paris. Meaning, if you buy from FSH, that bag will count towards your quota in home country. The individual was told by their SA (without mentioning the Paris bag I assume) but maybe they mentioned it? Thoughts anyone?

here’s the link to the thread. It is further down dated for June 15 2021. TIA!

I’m almost certain this is not the case. I was at Sèvres and FSH last week and normally shop at my home store in the US. I did buy some sandals at Sèvres and they tried to look me up but could not find my American profile so had to create a French profile for me. Then when I got the FSH bag appointment, the SA had to try for about 10 min to even find my French profile. So pretty sure the systems are not integrated.

Is the Constance now a quota bag in the us? I’m seeing posts from clients at scp, Bellevue and nyc saying their sas have told them the Constance is now a quota bag. What about lv, Miami, kop or dc or any other boutiques?

My SA specifically told me they were not quota bags and I shop at one of those locations you’ve named. This was my conversation with them back in early June.

Hi. My SA has also told me it is a non quota bag. I purchased a Constance and a Birkin in 2021 - and have 1 additional quota bag available to me. I also inquired about another Constance and my SA asked when I wanted it (now ) so they she could help locate my Specs). It is a non quota bag in the US and I shop in one of the cities you inquired above.

Hello Guys,
I just got a ostrich kelly pochette today. And my SA told me it’s counted as a quota bag. But one of my friends told me only croc pochette is a quota bag.
Could anyone help me answer this confusion? Thanks in advance.

Even if it’s technically not, if your SA says it is, that’s kind of all that matters as they are the one to make quota bag offers. Given the current supply constraints, I’m guessing it either really is a quota bag at your store or your SA is trying to tell you that it’s taken you out of contention for other quota bags this year. Enjoy your new bag; 2022 is only nine weeks away!

Hahaha 9 weeks away. That’s true. Thanks for replying.

I was told it is not only croc is when I bought mine. However , I think this is a polite way of telling you do not expect any other bag for rest of the year !assuming you already got one more bag this year

Cause I was thinking getting another quota bag during Christmas. I guess I wouldn’t ask for one this year.

Hi!! I was wondering if anyone knew if the Kelly Danse II is considered a quota bag or if it’s considered a leather good? If it’s not considered a quota does that mean SAs get commission on it? Thank you!!
