No restrictions on the number of non quota bags you can buy per year from stores in the US.
Yes i think it‘s a 3 bag limit online in the US. But I was replying to a discussion of in store non quota bag purchases which is why I specified stores in my reply. I did not address online purchases.
You are the most recent person I’ve seen talking about this! The franchise vs corporate store thing is so interesting. I literally learn something new every time I’m here lol. To expand on your answer, what other stores that you know of in the US are franchise stores? Or if you could, direct me to where I can find that info please! TIA
Just be aware that this trick is well known as it has been the case for a long time, and Hermès also is aware of it. They have control of the inventory, and franchises don’t have access to everything for podium orders that regular stores do. Manhasset used to be a very long wait for even basic bags never mind b/k/c so I would not pin all your hopes on the franchise store route.You are the most recent person I’ve seen talking about this! ETA: I’m making an assumption about why you want the information. If it’s just abject curiosity, I know Cuffs in Ohio was/is franchise if it still exists, off the top of my head.
Oh I see, that makes sense as I’m sure there’s a fear of resellers. I just asked out of curiosity since I like to travel and know I will particularly frequent NY as well as my home store but had read it was best to stick with your home SA so I didn't even give shopping in NY a second thought for the occasional scarf or whatever lol. I suppose individual stores could set their own rules but I do not believe there is any company-wide limit on number of Constances per customer per year, unless it was enacted very recently. I purchased three Constances in 2018 and then two in 2020 (in January and February) and was continually offered more after that throughout the rest of the year. (All under the same profile, store, and SA, in the USA).
It may be my store's rule, who knows, but it was communicated to me this year. Given I've already purchased 2 constances this year, and would likely purchase another if offered before the end of the year, I guess we'll see.
I just read in another thread that the systems have linked worldwide now? The comment was dated for June 2021 and they were in Paris. Meaning, if you buy from FSH, that bag will count towards your quota in home country. The individual was told by their SA (without mentioning the Paris bag I assume) but maybe they mentioned it? Thoughts anyone?

US Customs discussion - airports, importing
I was told by my FSH SA he can ship exotics, hence his offers but I haven’t decided on which. The shipment is automatically sent out tax free and I pay local import tax on arrival. London Bond St can send me whatever as I have family and a local address in the UK. I am not located in the US...

My thoughts exactly! Kind of a bummer if true as I’m just now getting into my “journey”. Would love to hear what your SAs have to say about it. That would be greatly appreciated!
Hi. I just started my Hermes journey in the San Francisco store two months ago, and would like to get a neutral birkin 30 or Kelly 28 in 1-3 years. I read that these bags are very hard to get! I would like to purchase several fine jewelry pieces, a pair of sandals, and a belt. I calculated that this will get me to a little over 1:1. I am not a big spender so these are huge splurges for me. My SA, whom I like a lot, is fairly new to Hermes. Can someone help me with these questions:
(1) Do you think the SA’s non seniority will affect the chances of getting a quota bag
(2) is buying mainly fine jewelry, sandals and a belt enough, or would I need to consider other items?
