Hi everyone,
in the US, are Kelly minis and Kelly pochette considered quota bags? Thank you!
Kelly mini, yes. Kelly Pochette is a quota bag in exotic leather, not a quota bag in regular leather.Hi everyone,
in the US, are Kelly minis and Kelly pochette considered quota bags? Thank you!
I got 2 already (one though being SO but SM said it counts toward the quota here): first late Jan and SO March. However when I hinted I liked a Kelly from the display, was told it could be sold to my husband so sounds like there are places where all is still fine (Warsaw store in my case).Hi All,
Are folks starting to get offers for their 2nd quota bag for the 2021 calendar year yet? Or due to the recent shutdown in Paris, do you guys think 2 quota bags for this calendar year is unlikely? What is your experience/conversations with your SA?
Wasn’t in Warsaw (Poland) last year eitheris quota bag only for BKC?or BK? sometimes I have heard Constance doesn't count for quota? thanks
Birkin and Constance from London, yes (via texts from my SA as currently it's (understandably) a bit of a bear to get into the UK). They are coming in, but seems a bit slimmer pickings than say 2 years ago.Anyone who lives in London or regularly visits London, have you had any luck recently with the quota bags in any of the stores here? Any B,K or even C offers lately (since 2021)? Maybe it really is the issue with deliveries and covid (yes, yes you have to be on a 'wishlist' and the quota bags are always out of stock as they say) but I genuinely have not seen anyone who has been offered a quota bag around here, it is strange though this is not the case in other countries... would love to hear how things are in other European countries as well
I’m very new to Hermes and just started this year, with a couple of purchases of non-BKC bags and some accessories in London. My SA told me that I can only get 4 non-BKC bags a year, is that correct? Also I have shopped in different stores before with 2 different SAs, and then recently put down a wish list in the system with a new SA. Does it mean all of my previous purchases wouldn’t count towards getting closer to my dream bag? I would love to keep buying from this new SA who helped me with the wish list but am worried that all previous purchases don’t count. I’m also worried that after buying other things I wouldn’t get offered the bag before the wish list expires in 8 months. Afterall I’m not a big spender. Does it mean if my wish list is expired, I will need to build up my profile again from the beginning for renewing a wish list? Any thoughts and comments will be appreciated!! Xx
Hi, although I wouldn't call myself an Hermes expert but I believe I can answer some of your questions.
1. Non-quota bags: there seems to be a general consensus that you are limited to 4 per year (in UK), but I have seen some exceptions.
2. Shopping around in different stores: I think a majority of people does this, I do it too, every one of your purchase will be recorded in your purchase history profile. Changing your SA does not mean your previous purchase history gets erased, from what I understand your record is permanent.
3. Quota bag offer: absolutely no one knows exactly how a particular Hermes boutique decides to offer a bag to a client, in which order unless you are the store manager of course. Factors that matter the most: your spend, your history with the brand, seniority of your SA and whether your particular SA really want to offer it to you in particular. After all, your SA will have to make a choice amongst all of his or her clients.
4. Wish list (UK): yes, when your wish list expires, you need to make one again (renewal). Again, this has no impact on your purchase history.
Just as a passing remark, since you said you are new to Hermes, everything about shopping in Hermes depends on the SA. (just as an example) You want a black mini lindy with gold hardware? Maybe your SA will keep an eye out for you and offer it to you, or not. You've been told there's no such thing as 'reservation' but maybe your SA actually reserved an item for you... this is Hermes, I stress, everything depends on your SA. Begging and bribing does not work (obviously), but I hope you'll find that SA you just clicked with because then everything will be easier and much more fun for youHope this helps, happy shopping!
this is
So informative and helpful!! thank you so muchJust to clarify that even if the wishlist expires, the previous purchases will still count towards the renewed wishlist? I intend to keep buying things I like, but with a baby on the way I am likely to have no visits to the shop at all for a couple of months! Plus I find it really hard to get my hands on anything now, especially shoes that are always sold out. So by the time I can reach a certain amount it might be over 8 months already!
