Hey gals
Odd question, but which ring do you put on first ... your e-ring or your wedding band? Im thinking the wedding band should be first but then where do you wear your e-ring on your wedding day?

Im thinking a fine micro pave band to sit behind my lucida-inspired e-ring.

I've always heard that the wedding band goes on first (closer to the heart). I kept my e-ring off until after the ceremony, then put it on on top of the wb.

Our ceremony and reception were in the same place, so I just put it in my purse which was in a secure place and then put it back on right after the ceremony. But you could definitely put it on the other hand and then switch. I know women who have done that.

I wore my engagment ring on my left hand for pictures but moved to my right for the ceremony. After the ceremony, before the reception, I moved it back to the left where it has stayed. :tup:

I wore my e-ring on my left hand...DH put the wedding band on my finger...I switched them around after the ceremony. My e-ring would not fit on my right hand because my left ring finger was a size smaller than my right.

You can always have your maid of honor wear/hold onto your e-ring during the ceremony and then afterwards she can hand it back to you. I'm either doing that or just wearing it on my right hand.

The wb does go on before the e-ring as well.

Wedding band goes on first. For a wedding ceremony, you can wear your engagement ring on your right hand or just put the wedding ring on top of the engagement ring until the end of the ceremony.

Wedding band first. But I didn't wear my e-ring during my ceremony because it only fits on my left hand. So I just left it in my ring box in my little purse I carried and put it on after the ceremony on the way to the reception.

Well, you are supposed to wear the E ring on your right hand any way until you are married. When you get your band put on you can just switch it over at that time. Congrats on your engagement and upcoming wedding.

I've heard this once before but I've never known anyone to do this. Everyone here I know wears the e-ring on their left.

Another option I've seen is just wearing the e-ring on your left and have your hubby take it off, put the wedding ring on, then put the e-ring back on. It looks beautiful when done and I think that's what we will opt to do.

I totally forgot about this detail until I was walking down the aisle. Before I got too far down the aisle I switched my e-ring from my left hand to my right without anyone seeing it. After the ceremony I put my e-ring back on my left, along with my wedding band.
