Question? Do you wear your wedding ring on the outside or inside?

My wedding band goes on first, then the engagement ring, then a small silver band I got for an anniversary. I never even thought to wear them another way!

ugh! never fails. there's always another thread. mods, feel free to close to not overload. lol

to be honest, i don't like the way the pear looks upside down (the point towards me, instead of away). i just like it traditional, i guess.

it's not too big, but now that the weather is cooler here, my fingers aren't as big as they are during the summer. it fits perfectly during the summer/warmer months, but now that it's getting cooler, not so much, which concerns me.

i'm debating on getting it sized down from a size 7 to a size 6.75. maybe that little amount will make a big difference, but also won't seem tight during the warmer months.

i just hate to spend another $75 to have it sized. when i received it a few months ago from my mom, i had to have it sized because it was warped (it's platinum).

band on first solitaire following for me.

thanks for consolidating the threads, swanky! :p

i went ahead and ordered a ring guard for my e-ring, so until that comes, i just put a piece of scotch tape around the edge so now it's nice and snug. not ideal, of course, but it's better than the alternative—losing it!

it's just temporary until my ring guard arrives. then in the summer when my fingers swell up again (or when i eat sushi...lol), i can take it off.

problem solved.

When I had a both an E-ring and W-band - first marriage- I wore the band and then the E-ring because it was a matched set and it looked better on my hand from the angle I looked at it. Some people prefer that set up because you can remove the E-ring easier when you are cleaning, hardening or doing other work that might not be so good for the E-ring. Others prefer to wear E-ring, then W-band as the band protects the E-ring a bit more.

This time round, I chose no E-ring at all. I wanted a unique wedding band. We bought a Hidalgo enamel and diamond ting in Aruba where we got married. It was nearly as expensive as an E-ring, mind you. DH is not allowed to wear a wedding ring at his work, for safety reasons. However, we did also commission a goldsmith to make us matching one-of-a-kind gold bands - or would that be two-of-a-kind. They are similar to the "landscape" rings that she custom makes. We wear those when we go out for something special or when we travel together.

LOL....love this question!! I would play with this combo for hours....days!

One point I thought my e-ring looked "larger" if I wore the e-ring 1st followed by the w-band, but then, other times I thought the diamond looked better reverse!

On cooler days when my e-ring feels loose I'll wear it 1st, but generally speaking, I wear my w-band followed by e-ring.

My ideas, also.
