Question? Do you wear your wedding ring on the outside or inside?

I used to work with this guy who wore a wedding band on his right hand. Everyone knew he was gay, we all knew his partner. It was not a secret. I asked him one day about the ring and he said that they had a commitment ceremony and that a lot of gay people wear their rings on their right hand. Anyone else heard of this?

I'm engaged (not married yet!) and I always thought the wedding ring would be on the outside, simply because you're e ring was there first! That's my logic lol

i wear my wedding ring on my left ring finger. i only wear the e-ring for going out and would wear the wedding band on the outside. i don't have any beliefs on this matter, but i just don't want to lose the e-ring.

Im asking this because I thought you wore it 1st and then your Engagment ring on top? But I have noticed alot of people wearing the Engagment ring 1st and then the Wedding band.

Is this a preference to the person???

I wear the wedding ring on the bottom, ering on the top. BUt if I am wearing the w-ring with my plain band, the plain goes on the bottom and the diamond band on top.

My wedding ring goes on first, then comes my engagement ring...I too always thought that the wedding band should be closest to your heart.

My mom does it opposite. Band on top, e-ring on bottom. However, it is for security, I think. Her last e-ring slipped off and was never found. Her band prevents this issue.

Do what you like though, I think it is just a personal thing.

i think it's more preference. my friend wears it e-ring first, w-band on top b/c she says she got engaged first and then married 2nd. i wear my e-ring on top of my w-band b/c i like to take the e-ring off when i cook, clean or shower (i'm forever bumping it into everything!)
