I truly think that SAs love it when you geek out about Hermès as well. I routinely go in there with scarves that I bought in the 1980's at the store on 57th Street in NYC. I also have scarves given to my mother in the 1970's. They love to see them, and love hearing about how you've loved the brand for decades, and are not just trying to score a quota bag. At least in the stores I go into.

Glad I came across this topic on "push offer".
I have been asking my SA to put a Constance 18 in epsom/classic colour/GHW on my wishlist since last year. A couple of days ago, I emailed the SA and asked if any news on this wishlist. Unfortunately the SA said nothing so far. However the good new the SA mentioned she has Constance 18/black/GHW in box leather. I might consider purchasing this bag provided my wishlist will still be kept.
I do not have any box leather in my collection so far and I am quite nervous since this will be my first constance and it is more expensive than epsom leather.
Do you think this bag is a push offer item?

Box calf bags are always push offers. But, you need to love Box. It's a special leather and not for everyone.
as long as you don't dislike black bags, this is a classic that you will regret in the future if you turn it down

I think your SA is sensing your unease and is subtly steering you away from the box Constance.

The other item I'm hoping to get my paws on is a b25 in Barenia Faubourg - just throwing it out there for the universe to manifest.

It's delicate for sure in box, it a special bag and not intended to be a daily workhorse bag. If this is her first bag, I probably won't recommend. In any other leather I think it would be great!

As far as I know, a box bag is still only push order to a store- it is not available as an SO.
Although not strictly considered "podium" as the SM cannot order a bag in box at Podium, that is when the SM can make their clients ( and their) wishes/wants/hopes made known. IF that is remembered, and the person in charge of bags for your country is then given that information, they are then aware that X store would REALLY like, for instance, a K28 in box. On some level, that then is figured into what is "pushed" to that store ( which is different than the normal shipment that store gets from Paris). In other words, a push is not totally random- Paris looks at what sells where, the store make it known they have a good chance of selling a particular item, and here we are- waiting for our unicorns!

There seems to be more box leather bags being offered lately - Hermes goes in spurts- in the bag offers thread there are more box offers than we have seen in years - I was just offered one which surprised me, as I hadn’t asked for box - interestingly the director at this boutique said they won’t even offer box if they don’t think the client they offer it to will care for it - as it’s a heritage leather and so special.Thank you nymeria for your information!
