Purse peace

To be honest, I find it highly unlikely that anyone participating in a purse forum will find definitive purse peace. If you're here, you're actively searching for an influx of new inspiration and information. The best way to achieve purse peace would be to stop following all fashion and luxury content. Which could also happen by accident if you're just busy with other things in your life.

If you're actively thinking about finding purse peace, even just the fact that you know the concept of 'purse peace' means that you're already part of the bag community which revolves around...bags. Most people who have a hobby, let's say collecting stamps or climbing mountains, don't try to achieve stamp peace or mountain peace and stop collecting stamps or climbing mountains. It's a hobby so naturally they're interested in it.

As you can tell, I think purse peace is a silly thing
Agreed 100%

I am at purse peace. I have collected bags that I might need in future. Since I am homebound always and rarely get opportunity to go out, I don't get to use my bags well. So, there is really no need to buy any more bags for me.. and I am at peace with this idea of not buying any more bags.
but, but, but, I am after wallets now :nuts::nuts:

Are you at purse peace?
Pretty much! Added one last bag last month that completed small crossbody bags category for every occasion. The realization also comes from cycles of buying and purging my once-bigger collection which helped me figure out what style/color works for me.

What is your current collection?
PXL_20220811_011502773.jpg
Left to right: Fendi large baguette in denim, vintage Louis Vuitton Cabaret bag in Vernis (patent), Ratio et Motus Cosmo bag, Loewe small Puzzle bag, Longchamp nylon crossbody bag, Chanel mini rectangular with Chevron quilting in patent leather, Coach Rambler 16. Not pictured is my Longchamp planetes tote that I use mostly for travelling

What bags do you still want in order to achieve purse peace?
This is actually my first time not wanting to add anything to my collection. I guess functionality-wise, I got everything that I need, plus in every color that suits my everyday outfits, both neutrals and some fun pop of color

Purse peace? No.

Purse break? Yes. I went through a few years of not thinking about purses since I was busy with life. That time, I also had a break from tPF so there was no temptation.

But Covid lockdowns got me back on tPF and I made up for that long break by getting back into the thick of things... It was like riding a bike.

I think I'm at purse break too.....nothing I want at the moment and I've gotten three new to me bags in the past few months

I'm a work in progress....trying to get to purse peace!! I think I still have to let go of a couple more before I get there. And once I do that, I still want to buy one more Polene Neuf but trying to decide on a color. And then I 'think' I'll be there or close to it!!

I’m sort of at purse peace with my collection of 15 handbags in that I don’t want my collection to get any larger..

However I DO still have a small wishlist ..

But after that I’ll just wear out the non high designer ones(sadly though my Jimmy Choo navy alligator bag has been subject to several years of daily wear already), and eventually my collection will shrink-I’m not sure that I still have any left that I want to gift…I have gifted quite a few in the last year…

So just sort of lol!xx

I’ve never had a wish list for my local or FSH SA, and I haven’t yearned for a bag from anywhere else that I didn’t buy, with the notable exception of the Bulgari Marie Katrantzou collaboration in black and gold HW (they were sold out before I even thought to look at Bulgari purses). So, until an SA presents me with a bag I adore, yes, I think I am. I’m not a fan for the mini k II, and I don’t really want more 25K or 25B (I like the ones I have, but don’t use them much. So, the idea collecting 25s in multiple colors like I did 28K/30B just sounds tiresome)

I’ve been toying with getting a cute 1923 or bolide, but am not sure that I am a bolide person. I’ve also been thinking about a vinatge black box cadena bag, or whether the new release cadena is even remotely as cute. . . But it’s like the epiphany that you aren’t hungry even when looking at a gorgeous dessert display.

I do still regret not purchasing a pristine black, white, gray vibrato 28K, PHW from Jane Finds during Covid SIP. And, rehoming my Nero evercalf troika bolide 31, PHW from a long ago NY sample sale, but that’s not the same as actively searching.

ETA: most of my bags are placeholder bags. I love them, but they don’t get much use. If I were honest with myself, the bag I wear the most is my felt picotin (just chuck and go even in inclement weather) or an off white Loewe mini puzzle. Both are light, capacious, easy to use, and seemingly impervious to stains, IDKH.

My wishlist in reality is only 3 bags, and the last one will take me quite a long time to achieve ..

I’m not actively searching as I know what I want, although the first one-a Touch or Exotic H , as long as it’s one of 3 Bleu shades, the right model at the right time would be fine..it’s just a question of when..

It sounds like you’re in a good place with your collection, in fact it sounds dreamy …although I’m not unhappy with mine..xxxx
