Are you at purse peace?
Most of the time, yes, since I am super picky about even the tiniest dealbreaker, which makes me love my little collection even more. I guess, until something interesting caught my eye with a good deal at the time with the perfect combination. It should almost feel like it’s meant to be.

What is your current collection?
Loewe Puzzle in Small, Givenchy Antigona Lock Mini, and Alexander McQueen The Curve Bag. Ha, now that I listed it, maybe I do have a type for bags.

What bags do you still want in order to achieve purse peace?
The two on my radar are Balenciaga Neo City Classic Small in Navy, Celine Medium Triomphe in Natural Calfskin. But nothing so urgent. Again, it is the hunt :))

I'm curious, out of the two YSL bags, which one do you find more user-friendly and more appealing and why?

Hmm good question... I've really enjoyed both YSLs and have used both as every day bags.

Cabas: light weight, holds a ton (even a bottle of wine haha) so it's perfect for errands and travel, slightly more casual since the strap is just leather, no chain. Only small nit is you have to lift up the monogram to access the zipper.

Jamie: more luxe with the lambskin quilt and chain, little heavier but also fits so snugly under the arm! Really comfortable and secure. Almost like a small bookbag. Clasp is strong and easy to get in and out. Perfect for date night, brunch, city strolling!

Which do you prefer?

So it's been a month so far with "purse peace" and I have to say, I couldn't be happier. I'm perfectly content with my small collection and every day I still enjoy looking at and enjoying my bags. It's really all about focusing on your own collection and appreciating what you have. I know for lots of people, not buying a bag for a few months, or even one to two years is commonplace, but I only got into handbags three or four months ago.

What I noticed with myself and purse peace is if I put limits on myself I tend to binge on handbag purchases. I have tried to do the minimalism and Marie Kondo method and after I have thrown it out I start looking/shopping for the pieces that I have thrown out or it gives me a reason to shop for "things that are missing in my wardrobe". If I give myself grace and accept that those lifestyles are not for me I do more intentional shopping. I am more at peace. I shop for things I truly love and I do not shop as much. I know that lifestyle works for some just not for me.

I don’t think I’ll ever be at purse peace. I’ve been acquiring designer bags since I was in college and I’m in my early 40s. Lol. My husband asks me you’re not getting more bags right? You have a lot. I just laugh at his question. I try to do the one in and one out. I only buy if it’s been a bag I’ve been longing for a long time (years). I also go through my bags annually and cull the ones that I don’t use/love. The money goes in a handbag fund.

To be honest, I find it highly unlikely that anyone participating in a purse forum will find definitive purse peace. If you're here, you're actively searching for an influx of new inspiration and information. The best way to achieve purse peace would be to stop following all fashion and luxury content. Which could also happen by accident if you're just busy with other things in your life.

If you're actively thinking about finding purse peace, even just the fact that you know the concept of 'purse peace' means that you're already part of the bag community which revolves around...bags. Most people who have a hobby, let's say collecting stamps or climbing mountains, don't try to achieve stamp peace or mountain peace and stop collecting stamps or climbing mountains. It's a hobby so naturally they're interested in it.

As you can tell, I think purse peace is a silly thing
