I've never used one but I think I'm going to pick one up. I hate putting my bags on the floor at restaurants and sometimes there's no where else to put them. I wonder how well they'll hold up though because my bags do tend to get kind of heavy.

Like I've said, I've been using my clipa hooks a lot lately on my train commutes. Yesterday I was carrying my large Coach Zoe which is a heavy bag with a lot of hardware. The clipa had no problem suspending my bag.

I have used it with other heavy bags including a large Isabella Fiore leather hobo with big solid brass rings and a coach Kristin Pleated Satchel with a big chain strap - so far the weight has not been an issue.

I just got a Clipa, after using the more basic ones, and love how it'll fit most table widths and unusual situations, but it's heavy! I don't really need the 45lb load, since I usually carry smaller bags. Too bad they don't have a lighter model!

You must carry a pretty small lightweight bag - (and good for you, it's better on the back and shoulder) - but the Clipa only weighs 2 ounces .... :shrugs:

So we have a postage meter at work and I weighed the Clipa and you're right, it's only 2.2 oz! I'm so embarrassed, I'm a total wimp! Time to work out!!!:p But, it's honestly, the single most heavy thing in my bag, aside from my wallet. My old hook was probably less than an ounce then. I do love the Clipa though, it works everywhere on anything!

I came across my purse hook earlier today. Yes, it does look a bit weird, but I think I'll stick it inside my new Burberry messenger bag. I've a feeling though that all purse hooks don't accommodate all bags. I want to try it out on my Alexander Wang bag. Not sure it'll suit...

I've been using a purse hook for a few years now and converted all my friends ;) It's fantastic especially as I need my lap/bench space for my baby. Only negative - I've found a few places where the tables were too thick for the hook so try to buy one with the longest hook possible. I have both types - the clippa style & the fixed hook style.
