Purse Hooks / Hangers

I had a Clipa in Maya and loved it! It actually spruced up my bag a bit and although I didn't have to use it often, when I did it was a life saver! Sadly, I lost my Clipa a couple of weeks ago.

My only rec would be if you're going to buy a Clipa, buy it from them directly, because I got my replacement Clipa on Amazon and although the box said Maya it definitely was not the same color as my previous Maya Clipa which was a dark silver. (Original Clipa was also bought on Amazon without an issue, so I think it just might be a gamble with them. Called the Clipa store and they said they have not changed the color of Maya so not sure what happened with my order. Re-ordered directly through Clipa store.)

I got my clipa little more than a month ago, I don't go to places that my bag need to be "hang", on top of that I carries lot of stuff (3 kids!!!) I found the clipa kind of inconvenient

I've tried 'em all. Now the only thing I'll use is a Clipa. It matches my bag perfectly, still looks new even though I got it a year and a half ago, and I use it all the time. It works everywhere. If you have a nice bag, get one and use it.

so i was wondering, what is the best , most sturdy purse hook? any suggestions? i figured who better to know than the amazing tpf members, right??? i looked on amazon, but there were so many, and i wanted one that would do the job and not break .any thoughts?

I have a Ganz and it works just fine for my Verona MM.

I have a Clipa (with crystals) and a Luxe Link and both are very elegant and functional. The clipa is a little larger and heavier, but seems to open wider. The Luxe Link is nice and compact, and comes with a soft (tiny) bag.

I just received my Kim colored Clipa today & I have to say that it is awesome! I love it!
I can hang my purse from many places that my other old flat & foldable purse hooks couldn't hang from.
I plan on getting a few more Clipas in different colors for some other bags that I have.
Get one & you won't regret it

Clip as are the best!!! They are the sturdiest I've found and won't break plus they open super wide for larger bag handles, too.

I recently picked up a third Clipa, in hematite. It looks great with a brown bag I have that has no hardware.

I also have a brushed gold (matches the hardware on one of my BVs) and a polished sterling (matches a Ferragamo bag I have).

I got mine in a goodie bag and my boyfriend had to tell me what it was! Haha! But I love it!

When I have had my bag hanger in use I have got so many questions where I got it from, everyone seems to love it, so I have not experienced that it should be any weird.
I even was approached by a man wanting to buy one for his wife!

But it broke in two a couple of weeks ago and I miss it! Where should I put my bag now!? :cry:
Maybe I should go for a Clipa? But I don't want it heavy. Are they really heavy? On the other hand I guess they'll be more durable?

Clipa. It's sturdy enough to handle my big heavy bags, and the opening is big enough for thick table egdes.

I have used one for years, and used to get questions from the servers about where to get it. Now they are popular and all I get are compliments about my great bag or the cute hooks. I could not ever put my bags on the floor, and I don't like the chairs either..some seats are not clean depending on if kids sat there etc. I thought I was just being a crazy neat germ freak about it..and a purse snob too.......so I am very happy to see this tread and know that others use the hooks and I am not the only one.............
I even have my husband trained to know how I expect my bag to be treated if he ever has to move it for any reason.
