Purse Hooks / Hangers

I have to say, I really didn't think they would work. I found one at Marshall's for $6 and thought, why not. I had my bag full (and quite heavy) and tested it at home and was amazed. It's been in my purse in the velvet bag ever since. I had a server spill water on my bag once and so I cringe at the thought of my bag on the back of a chair anymore.
Can not say enough how wonderful they are!

Where can one find a Purse hook???? I would love to get one. Thanks

I received mine as a gift, actually a favor at a wedding shower. It's rather plain but over the holidays and recently I've seen them piled up in front of cash registers in the purse dept at Macy's. They were $20 and they had several cute styles. I've just checked Macy's online and they still have them for sale:

I freakin' LOVE my purse hook are you kidding? Not only does it keep my baby off the floor and getting dirty, but it lets me keep an eye on it so no one tries to snatch my fabulous-ness! Oh, another plus, mine's pink!

I used & loved my purse hook until it broke. It was a tiara w/rhinestones on it...sooo gorgeous.

One thing that I'd point out to anyone who has never used one & is looking to buy one, be sure to buy one that has a wide enough hook (or "mouth" as I called it) so it can hook onto any size table...a thin or thick table. Does that make sense? Hope it does.

I guess I should go look for another one. :)

When DH and I were at a really nice resturant in Maui for our honeymoon a few months ago, they actually provided a purse hook for my bag right there!!!!!!! I was like "OMG!!" LOL As I sat down the hostess gave me one after i was seated. I used it and looked around I saw that all the ladies were using one, compliments of the resturant!!! (trust me, for what they were charging in that place that certainly was an added bonus)

Do most purse hooks work on doors of bathroom stalls? It would be really nice to have something for the public restrooms that have no hooks on back of the stall doors. I really prefer to avoid putting my purse on ANY surface of a bathroom.

Thanks :smile1:

Edit: On Saturday, before Valentine's Day, my hubby took me to Cheesecake Factory and since the weather was awesome, we sat outside. We were seated at one of those two-seat bistro tables and I used my purse hook for the first time. The couple sitting beside us was fascinated by it... They didn't say anything, but their looks and smiles to each other told me they thought it was pretty cool! Everyone who walked by took a second look at my little helper. I will always have one with me from now on...;)

I have not needed to use my purse hook at a restaurant table, but I have definitely been grateful for it at restrooms with no hook...

Did they let you keep it after the meal was over? Either way, that's TOO COOL! :)

Well, it's certainly no weirder than the other things we do to protect our lovely Coach bags, I'm sure I've gotten strange looks when I protect my Coach from the rain with my coat but I'm getting soaked, but I do it anyway. And anyway, odd looks is a small price to pay for keeping an expensive bag pristine. Use your purse hook with pride!
