I think I have the Purse Hook one. My only complaint is that not all of my straps are small enough to fit on the hook! For example, my Chloe paddington has a tough time staying on the hook. I'm thinking of trying the Silver Hook or Luxe model since ashakes specifically said her Chloe fits on it.

I used it at dinner last night and the table was oddly shaped and I had no problem with the Luxe Link. I have the one pictured. Shortly after I received mine, they came out w/ pretty Swarovski crystal ones that are priced at $59. I agree that there are others out there that I'm sure work great, but I have had positive experiences with mine.

And, I personally did not find it to be cheaply made. Maybe you got a defective one? It's possible. lol

I looked at the PursePal website and those are pretty too by the way! :smile1: Plus, what's not to like when they donate a portion of the purchase to charity.

Oh, I wanted to add too that I actually bought mine off of www.fashionbliss.com because I had a code for 15% off and I bought 3 for all of the ladies in the family so it worked out cheaper than any other sites I found that sell it. The code is "FB" if anybody is interested!

I’ve tried a number of them and I agree JadeJett - Purse Pal has the prettiest ones and the best quality. I like it too that they give to good causes like breast cancer research etc too... I particularly love the jeweled flower designs - they are gorgeous and are deserving of holding my Chanel, Gucci, LV, Chloe etc... I bought the crystal flowers in both the day and evening bag sizes and I love them!

I tried the luxelink too but I didn't care for it - It is too short and doesn't work if the table has any bevel on the edge. Plus it felt very cheap to me - sorry. Mine even squeaked – yuk! I saw the same design basically at silverhook too - and for a lot less money - so why pay more for packaging from LL? If you are spending all that money on a designer bag, why use junk to hang it up?? My vote goes to the Purse Pal.

Funnily enough, I'd just come on here to find out what kind of purse hooks you guys would recommend. Thanks! :tup: I've just ordered the 'fold up package' from silverhooks.com - 1 blue, 1 mirrored for $27.99, a bargain with the £/$ exchange rate! I like the circle-y types rather than the hooks. Although they don't show it on the website, does anyone know if they can clip onto the outside of your bag like the luxelinks ones, as they're a similar style?

After you try using them, please tell us how you like them. Is there enough clearance for thick tables and big bags with thick handles?

I have the mirror fold-up from SilverHooks.com and it does not clip on to your bag. It does have a lot of clearance for thick tables which is a plus!

It looks like the crystal fold-up hooks will hold more weight, and stay closed too! And hey, it will hold a bowling ball?! Just in case! :p

I'm not familiar with silverhooks so I can't say.
Let us know when you receive it whether you can or not.

My Purse-Pal one easily holds my heaviest tote - and I have to confess it weighs 15 lbs. plus! (the Luxe Link says it only holds 9 lbs and when I tried a heavier bag it seemed like the chain was gonna get stretched so far it would break).

I also like that the Purse-Pal day bag size easily accomodates all my Chanel, LV, Chloe etc bags that have the fat double handles - even my Dior ones with the double lucite handles.

I prefer the hook to the round - it just seems more logical and I don't like strapping something that looks like a metal compact on the outside of my designer bags...To me, it ruins the look of a perfectly proportioned bag. I just keep my PursePal in an inside pocket. To each her own though!

I have to admit that I love these things though - I HATE putting my purse on the floor!!!!

Well, I've received them and am back to report. They're cute! I've tried out the mirrored one and that was OK. Doesn't work on curvy, ornate tables (like the one I have in my living room) but it does work. I'm really pleased with them and impressed they took the weight of the bag I'm currently using. Am thinking I'll use these for a little while and then upgrade to the luxelinks as I think they're bigger and I also really like the fact you can clip them on your bag.

^An 85 lb bag! lol When I carry an 85 lb bag, it's a bag I toss around anyway, so it can stay on the floor (while I rest). I would never subject my beautiful bags to that much weight!
