^warning about silverhooks. they have really great cs but the back of their hooks tend to fall off. i used theirs for less than 10 minutes, and the back detached from the hook and stuck onto the table so i had to return mine.

Thanks for the links. I read about purse hooks on TPF a while back and was tempted, but never got around to ordering any. I REALLY think I should though ... I really don't want to be putting my bag on the floor!

ETA ... feifei87 ... thanks for the info about Silverhooks!

Purse hooks must be really taking off in popularity. I was in Walgreen's waiting for a prescription to be filled. I started wandering down the isles looking at all the merchandise. I got to the isle where they sell a lot of those "as seen on TV" items like the Grease Bullet and Quik Brites and they had purse hooks. You got two in a pack for $9.99. I thought about giving them a try, but those gimmicky "as seen on TV" items tend to be of crappy quality. I think I'll pay a little more and get one I know wont bend or fall apart.

Those of you who have tried different purse hooks which is the best one to buy?

I'm a HUGE advocate of the one made my Luxe Link. lol BUT, I have not tried any others so I guess I'm biased. I use it and it holds my Chloe Paddington that literally weighs like 9 pounds no problem. It doesn't even phase it. haha

I'm sure others will chime in though. :smile1:

I have found www.SilverHooks.com to have a nice variety of styles and most of them hold a lot of weight. I think its like 20 pounds for one of them. I have the Signature Silverhook and use it all the time.

There are many different ones out there that I have seen and I think SilverHooks are one of the best.

Seriously, I just saw them being sold in the accessory dept. at Dillards. They werent the greatest quality and the price was similar to the higher ends, but they are definitely becoming more popular!

It depends - if you have a heavy bag The Purse Hook might be best. I think it holds up to 40 pounds?

Luxe Link is cool because there hooks are mirrored and you can clip it in a circle around a strap.

Purse pal has the prettiest tops though - you can get them in Swaroski crystal. And some of their proceeds go to charity.

I think Purse Pal has the prettiest ones and nicest quality - much better than the silverhook or 'as seen on tv' Walgreen's ones. I think their Swarovski crystal flower ones are beautiful - more $$ but definitely worth it when you consider what we spend on our bags! ! www.purse-pal.com

Lol – who is carrying a 40 lb purse???? That is SICK!

I’ve tried a number of them and I agree JadeJett - Purse Pal has the prettiest ones and the best quality. I like it too that they give to good causes like breast cancer research etc too... I particularly love the jeweled flower designs - they are gorgeous and are deserving of holding my Chanel, Gucci, LV, Chloe etc... I bought the crystal flowers in both the day and evening bag sizes and I love them!

I tried the luxelink too but I didn't care for it - It is too short and doesn't work if the table has any bevel on the edge. Plus it felt very cheap to me - sorry. Mine even squeaked – yuk! I saw the same design basically at silverhook too - and for a lot less money - so why pay more for packaging from LL? If you are spending all that money on a designer bag, why use junk to hang it up?? My vote goes to the Purse Pal.
