Purse Hooks / Hangers

I've had my Clipa for a while now and LOVE IT! Totally worth it just for the times that it has saved me in a bathroom stall with no hook alone!

And you know who doesn't think it is weird? Men! lol Every guy I know has noticed it right away when I'm using it, and has remarked on it, telling me that it is very cool and a great idea. And these are the kind of guys who normally wouldn't notice a purse at all unless maybe you :bagslap: them with one. Haha. The women I know have either not noticed/remarked on it, or seem only mildly interested, at most. Weird. Oh well, maybe I will get the men I know Clipas for gifts, they can use them for their tool belts or something. :roflmfao:

I just bought a Clipa - it's awesome! Perfect for keeping your bag off the ground!

Glad you love them! I use my Clipas often. I hang my bags from the back of the seat in front of me on the commuter train. That way I can read or text without juggling my bag! And there's no way I am putting any of my bags on the nasty train floor!

I have 2 purse hooks and use them for my bags when they don't have their own "seat" i.e. extra chair, at the table lol. There's no way I'm getting food or dirt on those babies and I don't care if it looks funny!

I own a few but I never use them as I feel self conscious when i do. For some reason, I feel like it looks tacky to use a purse hook and I feel like some snooty, uptight luxury handbag owner!

What else are you going to do with it? On the floor? Gross! Back of chair? Easy access for a purse snatcher! Hold it between your calves? Awkward to sit that way for a long time.

I've only used the clipa once in a restaurant - at the bar - and it didn't feel weird. It just felt like it was part of the bag, the way it snapped closed around the handle. It felt like my purse came with a way to hang it - smart. I was carrying a big bag that day. If I had put it on my knee, it would have slipped off. If I had put it on the bar foot rest, it would have slipped off and gotten kicked. On the floor, it would have fallen over and gotten kicked by every customer and server that passed by. There was no room on the bar or an adjacent chair. The clipa was really my only alternative. So it felt "just right".

If more of us came out of the clipa closet, purse hooks would become more mainstream. We are always looking for a hook for our purse anyway, whether it would be the back of a chair or a knee.

Interesting. IMO it looks snobbier to demand on a whole extra chair just for a bag. Many of the cafes I go to are crowded and people are always looking for chairs to sit at.

Purse hooks aren't weird, they are just pointless to me especially because I have thicker rounded handles in most of my LVs... Doesn't work for me.

The Clippa would work on those handles. Just sayin'.
