Recently unveiled at the Design Miami Show in December was a really innovative item. It was created by a French design student and picked up by Louis Vuitton as a new padlock. However, it isnt just a standard security device as it doubles as a convertible hook that can fit ideally on any level surface.
Use it anywhere for any size bag and never place your designer bag on the floor again. It is a limited edition and part of the Vuitton Travel Collection, Objets Nomades and retails for $275.
I had couple but I always forget to use them... Plus I don't want to give addition work on those handles and leather so I prefer my bags to rest on a chair next to me.
Never put it on the floor.
I've never found 'purse hooks', per se, to be that useful. I usually end up with tables that are too thick, no hooks in the bathroom stall, or other strangeness, so I use a 'hanger' instead of a hook.
Maybe that's why there's not too much response, yet - ? No 'hook' people, but 'hanger' people? The hangers aren't too exciting - just different colors of metal. I guess there are some Clipa models with rhinestones and bling, but I just have a gold-colored one and a silver-colored one.
I actually had someone on Etsy make a custom purse hook for me with a picture of my pooch! I figured who better to protect my beloved LV![]()
I rarely use mine and prefer to set my always too heavy bag on a chair, but I carry my purse hook everywhere anyway.
...
But one thing I like about the Clipa is that it is not limited to working on level surfaces. It also works on doors, chairs, church pews, fences, and I use mine often on the back of the seat in front of me on commuter trains.
Another thing I like about Clipa is the price! It retails between $20 to $25 US and has a lifetime guarantee!
Hmmm I've never actually seen anyone use them. I'd use one myself, but hate carrying extra things in my bag.
