Purse Hooks / Hangers

I've never found 'purse hooks', per se, to be that useful. I usually end up with tables that are too thick, no hooks in the bathroom stall, or other strangeness, so I use a 'hanger' instead of a hook.

Maybe that's why there's not too much response, yet - ? No 'hook' people, but 'hanger' people? The hangers aren't too exciting - just different colors of metal. I guess there are some Clipa models with rhinestones and bling, but I just have a gold-colored one and a silver-colored one.

Recently unveiled at the Design Miami Show in December was a really innovative item. It was created by a French design student and picked up by Louis Vuitton as a new padlock. However, it isn’t just a standard security device as it doubles as a convertible hook that can fit ideally on any level surface.

Use it anywhere for any size bag and never place your designer bag on the floor again. It is a limited edition and part of the Vuitton Travel Collection, Objets Nomades and retails for $275.

It is interesting that designers may start integrating purse hooks into the design of their bags, that would be convenient! Thanks for the information!

But one thing I like about the Clipa is that it is not limited to working on level surfaces. It also works on doors, chairs, church pews, fences, and I use mine often on the back of the seat in front of me on commuter trains.

Another thing I like about Clipa is the price! It retails between $20 to $25 US and has a lifetime guarantee!

I rarely use mine and prefer to set my always too heavy bag on a chair, but I carry my purse hook everywhere anyway.

I got one years ago during a Louboutin subforum gift exchange ... and I keep it in a pocket of my purse-to-go. That way no matter what bag I'm using, I have it.

My bags are so heavy & filled with tons of crap that I rarely use it; I prefer to set my bag on a chair instead. I posted a pic in the purse hooks thread.

I had couple but I always forget to use them... Plus I don't want to give addition work on those handles and leather so I prefer my bags to rest on a chair next to me.

Never put it on the floor.

I suppose I should have said hook/hanger LOL - whatever people use to hang their bags from. I prefer to sit my bags on a chair, too, for the very reason that I don't want to wear out the handles, but on the occasion when there is no place for my bag to sit on, the hook/hanger has been so helpful. Sometimes I hang my shopping bags off of them when we stop to eat at restaurants during a shopping spree :D. It's small and light so it never feels like I'm carrying extra stuff in my bag.

ITA!

Hmmm I've never actually seen anyone use them. I'd use one myself, but hate carrying extra things in my bag.

But it's so small you never notice it's there!

I love my purse hook. I do get the occasional wtf look, but who cares. Putting your purse in the floor is nasty. It's also rumored that if you put your purse on the floor it's bad $ luck! We don't want that, especially if we are in to nice bags :)

I have one but forget to switch it when I change my bag. At work I have an extra chair in my morning office that it sits on and in my afternoon office I put it in a drawer of a filing cabinet. I have a gorgeous hook I got at Nordstrom. I really should start getting some use out of it lol.
