I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

They hired another genius dealmaker, though someone on another site pointed out that for all the hype about him, his peak deal was in 2012. We will see what he can do. The thing is, IMO, they may be presented with something that sounds great on paper, but don't have the innate talent to pull it off. You could give Meryl Streep, Kate Winslet and Judy Dench the phone book to read, and they would make it sound interesting.

I still think they will go to the coronation, not as guests of King Charles, but as commentators for CBS or CNN or some other media entity. That way they get the $$$$, the clear connections/visibility, but none of the headaches of being booed or put in a so-called "toxic" situation.

True, but you never know. DH's two long term GFs before me were both authentic blondes, and my first impression of him across the room was frat boy/blonde lover, so the fact he asked me out still surprises me 27 years later. My dark is just a smidge lighter than blue black LOL.

The last time I saw an AUTHENTIC blonde adult, male and female, was when I lived in Minnesota with a bunch of Scandinavians. Don't tell the DH that his former flames were friends with Miss Clairol.

There are plenty of Scandinavians, including in their royal families, who don't have blonde hair. Look at the crown princesses of Sweden and Denmark - both brunettes. But I understand what you're saying. When we moved to MN twenty years ago someone told my daughter she wasn't really blonde because they were comparing her to a mutual friend who was a snow white blonde, and named Larson to boot. Fun fact though, the biggest immigrant group to MN were actually the Germans.
