I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

There are plenty of Scandinavians, including in their royal families, who don't have blonde hair. Look at the crown princesses of Sweden and Denmark - both brunettes. But I understand what you're saying. When we moved to MN twenty years ago someone told my daughter she wasn't really blonde because they were comparing her to a mutual friend who was a snow white blonde, and named Larson to boot. Fun fact though, the biggest immigrant group to MN were actually the Germans.

The crown princess of Denmark is Australian, though.

I wonder who the source of this rumor is, TW? It looks like some of the earlier rumors about a potential divorce came from the Harkles camp.

You know I went waaay back in the thread to right after the engagement had been announced (page 80 and on). While most of us were fairly excited we had a few members who were quite perceptive and picked up on what the rest of us were ignoring. Meghan has been divisive right from the moment she appeared on the scene.

Found this in one of the old posts. I forgot that Harry had Doria and Markus with them at the Invictus Games seven weeks before the engagement. Harry couldn’t be bothered to meet Meghan‘s father in the several months before the wedding but they were already bringing Doria to events before they were engaged. It proves to me that Thomas was markled long before the fateful letter. He wasn’t part of her master plan.

I think it came down to me being a rabid sports fan and actually knowing baseball, hockey and tennis stats! Apparently it was an attractive quality for an athletic boy.
I knew the ESPN Sports Center theme song when his BFF was humming it in class, and his friend almost fell over in shock. I think it started from there...
To bring it back to topic, this was before social media, and I couldn't stalk his page and pretend to be interested in sports, as TW did with Haz and Africa.

Knowing of Doria’s early involvement does change my perception of her role in all of it.
