I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

He grew up coddled and excuses were made for his behaviour
He has shown himself to be racist, classist and sexist so that saying, crude as it is, that you can polish a t$&@ but that won’t change into gold applies to Hazz
And I do feel sorry for MM being stuck w him

she was almost nothing before nailing him
Boor though he may be, he's her big meal ticket

He could be a bit of a jerk even going back to his Top Gear days (hey, I watched it because of Richard Hammond and James May and of course, The Stig, not because of Clarkson) but the Snarkles with their demands for apologies that they repeatedly refused to accept showed their real colors to the world. So thanks for that at least, Jeremy. Now go enjoy your retirement.

But what a lesson to learn from H and M.

What Clarkson wrote was vile, and it should not have been published.

But, Clarkson apologised (privately, via email), and they leaked that fact AND that they didn’t accept the apology.

So if the BRF apologises (I doubt it), you can bet H and M will leak that they got an apology then issue a statement about how all their complaints are validated, and now they want [$, titles, security, oh and the latest one, help out with the Commonwealth !!!].

Their behaviour is to continually move the goal posts by asking for more. Eg apologise? Oh, not accepted, not enough, now they want … [insert outrageous demand]. You cannot satisfy or placate narcs who think they have been wronged.

This is why the BRF strategy is correct. Ignore. Don’t even react.

Clearly it’s driving H and M nuts as the tantrums are getting louder and statements are more outrageous.
