Prince Harry and Meghan Markle thread

I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

Thanks for reading.

LOLOL it's like the guy in China (I think it was China?) who sued his wife because their kids looked like what she looked like pre "dental" work. She'd had so much PS, he didn't realize she was not good looking before. Unfortunately for some, all the plastic surgery in the world can't change your genes! :P
HAHAH False Advertising at its best!

Lady C, I know you're reading this thread.

Marriage in upper-class circles is not (just) about love (Gettys)

Nobody wants Meghan at the Coronation
Meghan's exploding 'pregnancies'
Rehabilitating H???

Prince Harry 'was in discussions to host SNL' during whirlwind US book tour before 'talks stalled at 11th hour'

  • The Duke of Sussex was close to hosting the iconic NBC late-night show on his promotional US book tour
  • Producers at the studio are still keen to get the royal on screen and haven't ruled out the possibility of putting him in a sketch
  • Harry was 'all in' on the idea but instead went on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and CBS 60 Minutes to discuss his memoir

Meghan's lawyers have refused to respond to 38 questions from Samantha's lawyers filed in the Florida federal court lawsuit as they want Judge Honeywell to rule on their motion to dismiss first.

They also asked the judge to stop the discovery process but she refused to do so.

In her ruling, Judge Honeywell wrote: 'Defendant Markle does not show that unusual circumstances justify the requested stay, or that prejudice or an undue burden will result if the Court does not impose a stay.

'Although a preliminary peek at the motion to dismiss suggests that some of the claims against her may be ripe for dismissal, the review does not reveal, at this time, a clear indication that the Court will dismiss the action in its entirety.

'Thus, defendant Markle does not satisfy the high standard required to stay discovery pending the resolution of a dispositive motion.'

The ruling means that Meghan and Harry will have to sit for deposition which will have to take place before July, if the case moves ahead.

If they have to sit for depositions they are dunzo. Neither of them could stand up to the tough questions an attorney would pose.

I'd watch that even though watching her speak and gesture makes me want to poke out my eyes and ears. Their smugness needs to be taken down several notches rather sooner than later.
