I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

I dunno I don’t really care about this woman and this story.

The thing that strikes me, and obviously this is a mean thing to say, is isn’t it funny a dweeb like Edward managed to marry smoking hot Sophie whereas everyone H has dated or indeed married is a real plain Jane.

I mean he didn’t even marry for a lovely personality in a plain body so double loser I guess.

Absolutely! He is the kiss-and-tell here fame-whbore here. He earned millions from fiction and 'embroidered' facts. I feel quite sorry for her.

I have no doubt that if she looked like a slim pretty starlet or ingenue (even when young) we'd be outraged for the pretty 'princess' outed in Spare, but because she is now older and was a bit more girl-next-door when younger, it's taken for granted - she's was the lucky one or it meant nothing to her. She was made out to be a bit of a predator in H's book, now we find it was just horse-play (figuratively speaking) two stupid teens being reckless after a night out after 'getting off their faces' (I don't know if the US has that expression).

I know nothing about Edward and whatever mistakes he’s made in his life. That makes me automatically like him better than his brothers. Less is more.

I don't think it's insulting, I think H did what he always does (ghost-writer or none) takes an inch and insinuates it's a mile.

Older is one thing, he made out Sasha used, and possibly abused him (as implied by older woman) some wicked outdoor fantasy she made him perform that put his privacy at risk, making him succumb to her worldly charms when he was most vulnerable.

Now we know. Two stupid teens, going perhaps too far with each other.

Haz. She hasn't said anything until he put it in his book. Even if she is looking for her "15 minutes", let her have it. She has to live with the shame of sleeping with this douch@bag forever. Besides, TW and Haz use everyone else for money; let her do it too if she can!
