I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

Yeah, I'm sure if she was a middle class digger driver with a) no dad to pay for her plastic surgery at a young age and b) no access to nutrionists, dieticians, private chefs, more procedures and such mundane things as childcare and housecleaners she'd look rougher too.

We already know she has difficulties maintaining her weight and her skin is not especially nice despite all the money and possibilities.

She looks better simply because her entire life has been based on her looks and looking good. It was something that she needed to do to make her living in the world of acting. Her talent wasn't going to get her a job. This other woman has gone out to make a living during manual labor and isn't caught up in a melieu that requires careful attention to her figure and her looks. Now that she has surfaced, there will probably be some changes in her appearance because people are looking at her.

Harry volunteered the info, he knew this chapter would have everyone talking and wondering, the way it was written ensured it would, it was totally salacious. The search would have gone on forever until they'd hunted her down.

Gordon Getty is the musician of the family.

The various Getty Foundations have given away many millions of dollars over several decades. Usually the money goes towards arts-related donations but other worthy causes can receive their patronage. Clearly Meghan is trying to prove herself “worthy.”

Laying it on thick that she is an actress, so arts-related? And her Judas husband can sing (both tunelessly and like a canary). If Getty does not know about her and she does her poor victim/ brave feminist act, she might charm $$$$ out of him.

That reminds me: just after they "fled" to North America, Sparry was seen having lunch with a wealthy older woman who ran a foundation. Did he ever sleaze money out of her?

Harry was 17. The age of consent in England is 16 so even if she was his age it wouldn’t have mattered.
