I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

Whether it is true or not, I'm sure that even a couple of months ago I read on the Reddit Saint Meghan Markle thread that she was looking for/perhaps involved with a billionaire and I think that the name Getty was mentioned---which I did not understand at all. But if true, makes sense now.

Their brand is very focussed on their True Love (tm), so I don't think they will divorce - unless she finds another rich idiot or he finds working to be too hard on his delicate constitution and bails on her. If the branding focus changes, that would be a telltale sign. IMHO they will be merching the kids to shore up their brand if their streetcred plunges.

Let's see if the latest stories are true: Arghwell producing romcoms and Spotify giving her a second bite of the podcast apple. I suspect both Netflix and Spotify gave them a hefty advance and have to squeeze as much product out as possible before discarding them.

The various Getty Foundations have given away many millions of dollars over several decades. Usually the money goes towards arts-related donations but other worthy causes can receive their patronage. Clearly Meghan is trying to prove herself “worthy.”

Absolutely! He is the kiss-and-tell here fame-whbore here. He earned millions from fiction and 'embroidered' facts. I feel quite sorry for her.

I have no doubt that if she looked like a slim pretty starlet or ingenue (even when young) we'd be outraged for the pretty 'princess' outed in Spare, but because she is now older and was a bit more girl-next-door when younger, it's taken for granted - she's was the lucky one or it meant nothing to her. She was made out to be a bit of a predator in H's book, now we find it was just horse-play (figuratively speaking) two stupid teens being reckless after a night out after 'getting off their faces' (I don't know if the US has that expression).

I hope she kept her clothing from that encounter....like...Monica L.

That's true. He was hoping that everyone who presume it was someone really fabulously beautiful, rich or connected. Turned out to be just a nice girl who did something that teens are prone to do after a few drinks.
