I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

This case law is interesting regarding privacy violations when taking your story. I doubt the BRF will take Harry on but nonetheless, it’s a topic that’s going to come up eventually.

I think she was probably upset at being described as an "older woman" when she was only 19 and only 2 years older than Harry. That would be enough to come forward.

The deed itself also might not have happened the way he described it in his book, also embarrassing her. Maybe it wasn't as cheap and tawdry as he made it out to be and she's upset about that too.

I think it could be more than that. The "older" lady is familiar with how the media works, she probably feared that her identity would be leaked at some point, so why live with that fear? She introduced herself, told her story, and is done with it.

It would have been much more embarrassing if her identity was leaked/sold by others (even by sources close to the Harkles at some point)...

One of the best ways to deal with blackmailers is to make the matter being blackmailed public.

Although blackmail may not be the correct term in this case, the "older" woman could be in danger of living in fear that her identity would be revealed by others later on. A far more embarrassing situation for her. It took courage to do what she did imo.

It's also suggested that he could have been a gentleman and asked her ahead of the printing that this story was going to be included. It's a terrible violation of her privacy. The details might have then been changed a bit. Obviously yellow journalists went to get lengths to find her. How would Harry feel if some of this stuff was done to Diana or Meghan.

Which makes it even more likely that all H’s old friends have distanced and will continue to distance themselves from him because no one can trust his discretion. Who would want to run the risk of H revealing stuff about them in an interview or in yet another money making tell all in the future. There is no way back for H even if TW dumped him in the future.

I’ll give them a pass on that. Teenagers are often spontaneous about their sexual escapades.

Under the circumstances I don’t mind hearing Sasha speak her truth. Being referred to as the older woman when she was only two years older is insulting.
