I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

The Woman with Soles of Wind, is definitely one of those designs that simply takes your breath away. Details abound in Madame Honore’s carre dedicated to Alexandra David-Néel, the French Belgian feminist, Buddhist, writer and simply, La Femme Extraordinaire. By the time Alexandra was eighteen she had visited three countries on her own, and in her lifetime wrote some thirty books about philosophy, religion and of course, her travels.

She visited Lhasa Tibet in 1924 when it was not open to visits by foreigners. And it is to Tibet where we follow her on her amazing journey…
Aline Honore’s La Femme aux Semelles de Vent from 2009 was part of the Hermes Collection themed, A Beautiful Escape (Travel). Since then this design quickly became a favorite and highly sought after contemporary design.

My Mum gave birth to eleven children. I asked her this question and she said definitely no, then made a comment to add that there would be no getting up from that position either.

PS. My Mum had already given birth to all eleven children whilst still younger than Meghan when she had first and my Mum was always very fit and healthy.

She wouldn’t miss it. Historic occasion, opportunity to cause drama/steal attention with photos going down in history books, wear jewels and an expensive outfit. She will do something to cause a scene.

The thought of the attention alone probably gives her a narc high.

And they need to show royal adjacency - for their next book, tv series etc.

I think they have to go to the Coronation to show they are still socially relevant. It’s probably the only high profile event they’ll be invited to this year. They’ve had no success so far getting invited to major events in the entertainment industry in the US - no appearances at any of the big awards events like the Oscars, no invitations to the Met Gala, no invitations to major movie premiers, unlike W and C who were the guests of honor at the Top Gun Maverick London Royal premiere. On the diplomatic and political fronts, H spouted meaningless word salad to an empty room at the UN last summer when the UN was not in session. They certainly haven’t been invited to any State Banquets either in the UK or the US. And the idea of TW running for public office in the US is laughable. Neither one of them can handle anything but cream puff interviews from the press and they’d be eaten alive in a bruising political campaign. They managed to get invited to the Queen’s jubilee but were relegated to minor roles. H in his capacity as one of the Queen’s grandsons had a bigger part to play in the Queen’s funeral but TW was mostly kept in the background behind a candle. She made the most of her photo ops with the exaggerated curtsy to the Queen’s casket at the lying in state and the fake tear left eye after the mass. On the philanthropic front, they’ve had a few paid speaker engagements for low visibility charities but again, nothing particularly noteworthy other than the Invictus Games appearance which goes back to H’s time with the BRF and is not something they developed post Megxit. They’ve been given some awards that they bought and paid for but again nothing highly prestigious. As part of their quest to establish themselves as titans of industry, H has been a speaker at some Butter Up events but he‘s certainly not on the roster of highly paid, in demand speakers for corporate events. Who would you rather hear from at a corporate event - a former head of state or retired CEO of a major multinational who can talk knowledgeably about world events and economic trends or H, a proven liar and self-confessed user of illegal drugs, babbling about how difficult his Uber privileged life has been and how he’s never recovered from the trauma of his mother’s death 25 years ago? Their Spotify, Netflix, and book deals were signed right after Megxit and they’ve done nothing noteworthy since then to merit new deals. I’m having a hard time seeing what would be the catalyst(s) for any large contracts for them in the future in the entertainment industry. They have nothing left to peddle from H’s connection with the BRF and neither one has the talent, skill, or education to offer anything else of value.

She doesn't give a hoot about her pricey designer clothes apart from cos playing Di and creating 'iconic' photos for posterity. They were free, why on Earth would she care past the photo-op ?

Actually I try not to think of her at all, but she's like mosquitoes at a 4th Of July picnic. Too bad there aren't any DEET-based repellants for bood-hungry Markles, Harkles and Snarkles.

I remember the photo of her posted several months or years back with her HUGE sweaty-armpit stains, so boob-milk stains probably wouldn't bother her either.

What I meant was that the earring stones could have been broken up and resold or made into other pieces of jewelry. Wearing them as the actual earrings was controversial.

Oh yes! This is a design with a definite story and about a strong woman! I don't know if PA personally shopped for it, was gifted it or what, but the meaning should have jumped out at her. This is a rather somber colorway. I have it in the silk scarf and the cashmere and silk shawl and mine have brighter colors.

Yes, but even if she wasn't born with a title, Catherine is a REAL princess, the kind that could still feel a tiny pea through 20 layers of mattresses. There's a huge difference between a princess and a succubus, and between graceful and graceless.
