I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

If "double-sends make up" means sending TWO copies of the book but only billing the customer for one, Lady C mentioned that in one of her videos. Not only was she the surprised recepient of Am@zon's "generosity" but i believe she said that she'd heard from at least 7 other people (not sure if they were personal friends, YT Followers or a combination of both) who had the same experience. That little trick could account for tens of thousands of "gift" copies, maybe more.

I wonder if Am@zon did that on their own (how would it benefit them to lose so much money just to inflate sale numbers?). Or were they "persuaded" to throw their own profits down the toilet by some entity desperate for big numbers?

I really hope someone in the publishing biz who hasn't signed an NDA with the Snarkles, Am@zon or Penguin House writes a book or article about it some day.

It's a stretch but Bezos' girlfriend Lauren Sanchez is well connected. She was married to a Hollywood power player pre-Bezos. Maybe someone from RH or the Harkles' PR reached out to her.

I don't know. I am both painfully shy and a huge introvert, but I tend to not laugh like a lunatic in public...or ever. I like to think I manage to appear almost normal in social situations

I have been thinking about the comment she made on the Nutflix doc, when she said that even Oprah was shocked at how small Nott Cott was. When exactly did Oprah visit them? Before the wedding or after. We all have the impression that TW didn't know O when she invited her to the wedding. Was she visiting them after the wedding to set up the interview?

I know TW said on the O interview that she had only spoken to her by phone and that the time wasn't right for an interview? When exactly did Oprah viti them at Nottingham Cottage? Am I missing something?

I know of Lady C, P Dina and 2 others so far that purchased 50% off copies of Spare from Amazon and mysteriously got a 'buy one, get one free deal' unsolicited and unexplained. Thereby, @ RRP. £28 paid £14 for 2 books (saving £42)

That's better than the 3 for 2 deal on my L'Oréal mascaras today from Boots £21.98 for 3 (Saving £10.99)

but there is such a thing as the kind of nervous laughter that sometimes occurs in places like church or a funeral....since you're not american, IDK if you'd be familiar with the episode of the Mary Tyler Moore show where they were all laughing hysterically at a funeral

He'll be sent to live with Andy and Fergie (since the renewal of the lease to Frogmorton Cottage somehow failed to be properly signed and it was let to someone else), then assigned the smallest bedroom in the basement with a tiny window right behind where The Randy One parks his latest Range Rovers. And he'll get TWO fewer breakfast sausages than any other family members.
