I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

As is the stories of her breast feeding. Nope. She flew to see Serena play when Archie was very young baby and you cannot do that with breastfeeding. If you breastfeed, your life works around the baby’s schedule.

He was four months old at that time. She could have been pumping in advance of the trip so that he would have enough while she was gone and been pumping while she was gone. She could have regularly done a combination of pumping and direct feeding so that Archie could remain on his feeding schedule but allow for flexibility. Plenty of mothers do this and accurately consider themselves to be breastfeeding.

My daughter has a five month old. She pumps and mostly bottle feeds now so her babysitter can feed while she's working and her husband can do feedings. She traveled for her job recently for two nights and did exactly what you said. Almost got into it with a dumb male TSA agent on the way home who wanted to open milk she had pumped and was transporting in a cooler bag. I admire her perservance. I don't know if I'd have continued breastfeeding if I had had to return to work when she was an infant.

I disagree about Margaret being a "spare' roll model, other than she remained loyal to the Queen.

Margaret lived a vapid life - with drugs, smoking, drinking and jet setting around with famous celebrities. She was no Anne, making herself purposeful.

She could have persuaded Harold (and herself) that they were better parents by shielding their children from the prying eyes of the public and media, unlike his brother and SIL who exploit their kids for royal photo ops.

Crazy that Harry doesn't see this but H&M have exploited their children and their relationship and released more invasive private photos and videos in their docu-series than Will and Kate have ever of their relationship and their children. There is no video of Will's proposal to Kate, no cos-playing Yoko and John, no birthday party photos showing the kids blowing out candles or climbing on tables, etc. You get one official birthday photo per year, usually taken by Kate, usually outdoors. Yes, the children are taken to public events but it's limited and age appropriate.

You are wrong, they are doing us the favour of sharing the greatest love story of all times with us, the great unwashed, who can only dream of reaching such heights
I might be reading too much and giving MM too much credit but the opening of her wedding speech reminds me of the opening of a Cornell Woolrich crime novel, Rendevous in Black (I think but maybe is another of his books, sorry)
We all have love stories, stories of loss and of strength but MM and Hazza have always to come trumps eg: burying the result of a miscarriage with his own bare hands (in Australia over 24 weeks gestation is a still birth)
They do have a flair for the dramatic
