I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

OW wanted badly an interview with TW, so having tea in Nott Cott, as they claimed to have had, must have been quite appealing to her. She even invited TW's mother over to her Montecito home (allegedly).

MO probably wanted to keep some distance from TW early on in their relationship, which turned out to be a wise decision.

So out of curiosity, when exactly did OW visit? Was it after the wedding, when they were supposedly on their honeymoon? Did she come back to the UK at a later date to make arrangements for the interview? Either way, it's not a good look, and goes a long way to show that TW had plans to exploit the BRF at a later date. The invitation for tea was not mentioned during the train wreck of an interview.

We speculated at the time that Oprah was advising them during their planning of Megxit. I believe we also assumed Oprah was responsible for their connection to Tyler Perry.

Nah I don’t think so. Our faith says that there is no compulsion in religion as we are judged by our intentions - not in our acts per se (verse in the Qur‘an). I have been involved in Mosque tours here in Oz in the past, and we never told our guests to veil. Some did, some didn’t, though most did, and that was very nice of them IMO. I would have problems if a woman walked into a mosque all scantily-clad, but so long as they’re covered in a modest-ish way, I‘m OK with that. My closest friends don’t veil out in public. They pray and adhere to all aspects of our faith otherwise, but yeah, they don’t dress the way I do for example. MegHan should’ve been more aware IMO. Heck there’s a billion of us on Earth, lol. Ignorance is no excuse.

Sadly, there are plenty of difficult tales in this world, many of them far more difficult and closer to TP's home, but he still chose to help the Harkles out of genuine generosity. People are free to believe in what they want. Isn't VF one of Harkles' favorite magazines for press releases?
