Fiebings makes great leather products. I used to use their stuff on all of my show saddles,etc. I will have to go grab some of this to fix my Ali!

COOL! This is what I was actually looking for. I have an older optic signature satchel that has areas of that stuff on the edge of the handle flaking off. I haven't been using it because I was hoping eventually I would find out what that was and how to fix it....thanks!
I ordered Fiebing's Edge Kote off of *bay in the brown color. I needed it for a belt I have with edge sealant peeling issues. However, I have a legacy walnut hippie bag that had a small area that wasn't exactly peeling, but Coach put the sealant very thinly there and I wanted to touch it up. I am most happy to report that it works wonderfully! Oh my, like it's the perfect color-match as well!
Okay, here's the BEFORE pic. The sealant issue in question is circled with a red circle.

It's not completely dry yet but I couldn't wait to show you all, it's fabulous!It says on the bottle that it will dry to a matte finish but it can be rubbed gently with a soft cloth later on and it will buff to a gloss finish. I applied it with a toothpick. The bottle holds way more than I'll ever need. When it gets on my fingers, it's very hard to get off!:true:
I guess that means it will stick good to the purse.
I ordered some of this Edge Kote as well as a leather conditioner from a leather supply shop. I have a very nice older Chelsea Optic Signature Satchel that has sections of that sealant edge completely peeling off. I am so excited to be able to repair this purse and use it once again. I promise to post before and after pics!
^^I'm almost positive it will work for you, probably the hardest thing is matching the color. I lucked out that the brown color was the perfect match for my walnut legacy bag.
Do you know if the whiskey legacy bags have the same color sealant as your walnut? I want to make sure I order that stuff in the right color although mine isn't peeling yet but my friend's is...

Answer: Both the whiskey and the walnut have the same shade of sealant which is Brown. Pictures below show the walnut on the left and the whiskey on the right which are identical in sealant color. The bottle I'm holding is Brown which is the right shade for both walnut and whiskey and will be a perfect match.
Noshoepolish, I'm curious, what part of your Luci sealant is peeling? I have a Luci, too.
I got both bags off ebay in a "took a chance at a poor listing" BIN. The Dylan shoulder strap is a mess. I think it needs some leather glue in addition to the Edge stuff.
The Luci is pealing right near the hardware.

Some sites are stating to use a wook Dauber to do the edge kote. I will look into it more in a bit.

^^Oh, okay. I just stirred the liquid good then used a toothpick to apply it. I know toothpick sounds funny but it gave me the most control over the thin edge.
