:roflmfao: LOVE your title! Sounds like a great news Headline!!

DIY Mama....AWESOME job!!!! :ps:

I totally agree that this is the way to go since Coach seems to be hit or miss (mostly miss) on fixing these issues. I always fix my own too except that I decided to try out the repair dept and see if they would fix my backup Gigi. Well, they sent me full credit, which fortunately just bought me a pearl green Peyton...but....if that had been a bag I hated to lose, I would have hated to wait several weeks only to find out it could not be repaired.

That's where DIY Mama comes to the rescue!! Coach should hire you to run their repair dept. I know you would get the job done, Oops!!

LOL, I've been reading too many Enquirers. Those attention-grabbing titles are the best kind!
Oooh, pearl green Peyton! Please post pics when it arrives.

Just a toothpick. Why would you go darker, this brown is the perfect match. Perhaps you have a darker bag.
Well I have a walnut bag, and one of the new nylon summer ones I just got has some sealant issues here and there, so instead of getting it repaired and then never returned, I'm looking for something that covers the same area. It's strange but it seems like my nylon tote despite being croc has dark edges on the blue faux croc leather where it joins... I'll have to take a pic.

DId you find the brown to be a perfect match? it's hard to tell in your picture what portion (despite the gloss) which one is the natural coach sealant color and which was the one you applied?

Yes, this brown is a perfect match. I took a couple more pics just now. The first picture I'm comparing the side that I coated I fixed the loop on the left. I coated the whole loop except the part where the metal is in the way. I did this not because there was a color difference but because I could see a little seam line where I applied it against where I didn't apply and I didn't like the little seam. In the first pic I'm comparing the side I repaired with another entirely different section of the purse that I didn't touch. Notice that both are glossy! Being a little glossy isn't an issue anymore when I see that different parts of the purse are glossy, too!
The second picture is how I smoothed it out after it dried by gently rolling a pen over it or the back of my fingernail. This stuff is slightly mailable so if you see a little nick or indention, just work it out with the pen. I bet in a week it will be set completely and you won't be able to do this anymore. I advise to just use one thin coat like I did, not a thick coat. You do not need to go over it twice with more of the stuff.
