I've been too scared to use my paperwhite BW...maybe kiwi spray is the answer.

Oh use it!!! I haven't had any problems with mine still looks new, and when I got it it was very used, I could tell by the handles, but the leather was perfect!

How are the handles on yours? Mine are just completely dark which is the other reason why I haven't used it yet.

Not too bad... I think the basketweave handles are more porous and tend to be darker...as long as they're not black and sticky I'm happy!

I know, but I need to figure out how to clean the handles. I have a BBW MAB whose handles are very sticky. I was going to use it a couple of weeks ago, but I was so turned off by the sticky handles. I tried dawn soap, but it didn't work. My PWBBW has the same problem. Maybe I should wait until colder temps. It was in the high 80s when I was using the BBW MAB. The heat makes it worse.

I came up with this idea last night and couldn’t wait. This is normally a bookshelf in my office, so my bags are not actually displayed/stored like this, but I thought it would be great for a photo shoot. All but three bags were acquired this year. Oops! I suppose I am making up for lost time when I first fell in love with RM but was a broke grad student. Still hoping to someday find the ones I let go back then. Enjoy!

I’m not sure of the official color. It has b/w floral lining. It means a bit more orange then coral.

I used to find it only at Walmart but you can also get it on Amazon. I may have used 2 coats but I never needed to reapply.

It does work! It puts a coating on them and they feel smooth not sticky. It does make them a bit shinier.

what causes sticky handles?

I think it's the oils from people's hands if they use hand cream etc, over the years the more absorbant leathers tend to have this problem. I think it happens to some Bals too.
