IMG_8358.jpegIMG_3941.jpegI have an opportunity to buy a vintage retourne kelly 32 in box calf and I believe the seller said the stamp is circle R which is 1988 but she’s described the color as dark navy as she isn’t sure what it certainly is. She sent me the second photo as her listed photos weren’t that clear. Please can someone help ID this color? I’ve been googling Hermes blues and I think it’s between bleu indigo or bleu marine. Navy has also come up but is there such thing as Hermes navy or is navy used as a general term for dark blue? Your expertise is greatly needed and appreciated so thank you a lot!

This bag is likely Navy, but if the seller has a clear picture of the lining and of the internal zipper pocket, I should be able to confirm. I doubt it’s Bleu Indigo based on the production year, but Navy is a real (and old) Hermès colour. It does not look like Marine from the pictures you have shared, but the lining and pocket pictures should easily confirm. ;)

So she responded with this photo when I asked for the lining and zipper pull hahaha it’s not the best and I did not want to impose. If this helps I found another clearer photo she sent me of the d ringsIMG_5918.jpegthat shows the color a bit more. Again, thanks a lot for your help!
