Please end our debate-Navy chanel bag with black clothing? YES or NO?

I think it can be done...BUT it's going to be a NO for me. There are other color options out there if you're wearing an all black outfit. Navy (though also a neutral color) doesn't do anything to add to the outfit. Just a matter of preference.

navy with black. So classic....a classic in menswear for years. I agree though...it is even better if you pull a little blue into your outfit to tie with the bag....a belt, scarf, earring or something

I work in fashion and we just had this debate! We had more people on the yes side than the no and since no was dominated by the fiance department we decided it was completely fine. We actually have navy and black dresses for fall 2010.
I think it's OK, but I think a popping blue works better with black if you are going blue with black.

I love navy and black together, but prefer to mix in some blue in my outfit in addition to just a bag.
I would prefer a pop of colour with an all black outfit, like a pop of pink or lemon. Navy with black can look a little heavy...no?
