pierced ears but no earrings: yay or nay?

Do "unfilled" piercing holes look unpolished/unattractive?

I was talking to someone recently whose teenage daughter got a lip piercing. Now that's something I could not get behind.

That awkward moment when you notice you made a typo, and you've already been quoted :amazed: Oh well. So anyway, where were we? Oh yeah... Sadly, for most teens, piercings/tattoos/etc. are nothing but a fleeting fashion rage, and they simply don't realize the long-term consequences... But hey, at least lip piercings do heal :p

I think it's partly the sexual implication that disturbs me (for a teen)

I have two holes in one earlobe and one on the other, but I also have about 5 other ear piercings (forward helix, conch, tragus, etc). I don't like the look of no jewelry in a pierced hole but I do wear micro sized earrings to fill them up. I don't wear large earrings either.

I used to have three earrings in each ear. About 10 years ago I decided I didn't like the look of that many earrings and let my holes close over. Unfortunately they never really do and you can still clearly see my second holes. I hate it on me. I feel really unpolished and have even looked into surgery/procedures just to get rid of these damn holes. My opinion, only get the extra holes if you plan on keeping an earring in all the time.
