Thank you! Carnal Flower is an excellent example of the skill and artistry of perfumery. As you say, the green notes are perfectly proportioned to balance out the richness of tuberose. You can definitely sense the depth and complexity of the composition.that's a wonderful way of describing complexity. I find that I enjoy the discovery process of the perfume as it wears on my skin throughout the day. little surprises here and there, or anticipation of a scent that I know will come forward in hour 2.... I'm a sucker for dark depths. Carnal Flower is something I shouldn't love (I'm not a huge tuberose fan in perfume as it often makes me nauseous, literally) but it is balanced so perfectly in CF. The green notes hold it back a bit, and then the depth comes into play -- earthiness? green stems close to the ground? It's like smelling the whole entire flower as it exists in nature (which I actually love). I am astounded by the composition of that scent; it plays like a song.
I also enjoy the evolution of the perfume throughout the day, and especially getting little whiffs of the fragrance as you move around. In a sense, the scent of the day is your companion throughout the day, and no matter what kind of day I am having, even if it's stressful or difficult, getting that little whiff of beautiful fragrance is like a little break that elevates your mood and takes you to a better place. It's also mentally engaging, since I will sometimes wonder what I am smelling and go check out reviews or start pondering about notes etc. All through this pandemic, especially being home bound, I did not carry my bags enough or wear my nice clothing. But I wore my perfumes every single day and it was engaging and enjoyable to be able to use them.
