Hello everyone.. I’ve just returned from Paris.. this was my second trip in a month.. I tried for the appointment multiple times using my mum, my husband and my passports.. but I was unsuccessful.. all the days I was there I also physically asked and requested for a leather appointment at Sevres and FSH (before 1 PM i used to try to be at the store) but nothing worked out. In my last two trips, I feel Hermes staff really observes you from up to down and I also feel they are racist! This is my personal opinion. I could see that they are checking me out. I have a decent profile in France as I visit regularly and on each occasion I make purchases of accessories, shoes, belts etc.
Oh I’m so sorry to hear that. I hope you have better luck next time

I doubt it but hope they do stock up bc I’ll be one of those millions heading there during the Olympics.
I’ll be first week of July in Paris. I have 2 business cards from my first visit FSH store last year, but I know that chances to score an appointment in advance are very slim. Im pretty sure if I send email they won’t even remember me. But I guess it won’t hurt to try. Any advice from seasoned shoppers what to write in email to a SA? I mean should I ask for an appointment if I plan to shop at RTW but maybe 1-2 pieces nothing crazy expensive, and should I mention that I wouldn’t mind if possible a leather appointment also. Or should I just do walk in for RTW?

I actually contacted my SA first before I even planned my trip to make sure she would be around since it’s August. Glad I did bc she said she’d only be in for the first half of the month. I’d definitely reach out to try to secure an appt with the SA if possible and mention you’re looking for some RTW. I personally wouldn’t mention about bags until I got to the appt. They might just ghost you once they read that. Good luck!

So I am another unsuccessful story loll. My sweet fiancé’ manage to get me a leather appointment with the SA we have been working with. She was so lovely and wasn’t able to get me a Kelly but the fact I got an appt was amazing in itself. I am grateful overall for the opportunity since we all know how hard it is to even get an appt, and wishing everyone the best on their Paris journey 😊🇫🇷

Have gained a lot of knowledge from this forum so thought to contribute some inputs too. In Paris the last 2 weeks, and managed to get a walk in appointment on day 2. Specifically asked to browse mens bags at the leather desk. Guessed that trying to speak in French and that the shop wasn’t too busy help! (Paris weather hasn’t been the best last week as there was so much rain). Subsequently, we asked the SA assisting us if there was any possibility to see the Kelly, but the SA mentioned she had been instructed to only show us men’s bags by the leather host. We then went back to the leather host and ask. He did say QB are not possible without the lottery appointment and asked us what other ladies bags we might be interested in, to which we passed as most styles aren’t for us. Hope this helps!

Make an appt via email. I don’t ask for or discuss bags via email, but my SA (or those that she has arranged to cover her) have been able to offer bags to me after my other shopping is completed. IMO only, spend does not matter. Bc sometimes, nothing has worked on me, and I have never been pressured to buy. But, they know that they will see me twice a year, so they have simply shrugged and said, next time. I do try not to expect any offer or bag or take anything for granted though. That way I’m not disappointed.

Sharing my excitement here!!! I had been applying for a leather appointment daily for two weeks and on our last night, I got a text and an email saying I have a 3:30pm appointment in FSH. We had to leave Paris earlier so I went at 10:30am explaining that we had to leave Paris before the appointment. I was told to wait 30mins as all appointments between 10:30-11:00am had been filled. At 10:55, I walked up to the host and he registered me and said I was next to be seen. Long story short, I wanted a K25 in chevre but there were no K25 available, no mini Ks in all of Paris on the system but was offered the following:
K28 Togo bleu de prusse GHW - pass
K28 Togo Gris Pearle GHW - pass
K28 Clemence Rouge H GHW- Yesss!!!

Good luck to everyone else hoping for a leather appointment x

P.S: I tried attaching a picture but it’s apparently too large and I don’t know how to reduce image size without an automatic option from my iPhone x

First time going back to Paris post Covid in May and am going to try the lottery system again. The last two times I attempted pre-covid I was unsuccessful. I have a purchase history but no SA (previous one moved). My passport number changed too (wasn’t sure if that was needed to show previous history in Paris). All in all not too hopeful in securing an appt but still willing to try😅

I’m traveling with my husband and young children this time. I’m thinking of using their pp’s to apply to increase my chances.

Would it be crazy to get my kids cc’s in their names so they can “pay” if they do get an appointment?!

Also, I vaguely remember someone being frowned upon for doing this with their child who I think did end up with an appointment.

Has there been a policy change where they’ve caught on and implemented an age limit??

Congrats! So happy for you!
I have the same problem with pics, even if I pick thumbnail size, so I screenshot and crop the pic. It is an extra, annoying step though :)

@lovefirey , I think there is an age limit. Maybe 18 and have to be with you; and I believe there may also be an issue with VAT. I personally think it would not be worth it… Maybe someone else can confirm.

Just being curious, although not going to Paris this year for sure: Has anybody asked for Volnyka in Paris recently? Or Ostrich? Not just in B or K but also other bags. Thank you for sharing you experience ☺️
There is Volynka in stock in Paris - Plume, Bolide, HAC, and mini K for sure - the runway pieces from the last show have not shown up yet as far as I have seen which does not mean they are not available - we just haven't asked. We bought one of our Volynka pieces from our current primary SA, so the subject comes up fairly often, and the mini K was offered recently. Of course, the pieces are still very limited.

Ostrich is always available and much less rare than Volynka.

Thank you for your insights, this is very valuable! So far, I got everything I wanted from my local store (with the exception of my beloved discontinued vintage bags) but both leathers, also ostrich, esp in larger bags (K28/32 B 35) are really very rare here.

Might try next year for one of them, I am anyway kind of on ban island for this year…
