Wanted to share a disappointing visit I had at the George V store a few days ago. I finally got an appointment for around 3PM after 2 weeks of trying. Originally it was at 6PM but then morning of it kept jumping around from 2 to 3PM then to 1:30PM and we had to scramble to get to the store.

After checking in at the desk, an SA approached us a few minutes later and got straight to the point - asking what I was looking for. No small talk, no asking if we wanted a drink or anything. I explained my preferences for a small bag - either B or K in a neutral color with ghw, or a C in a neutral color with ghw if B/K wasn't available. The SA left and came back super quickly - probably in around 5 minutes which was a bad sign. She brought out one box and I immediately knew it was a Constance. I was super excited until I saw the color was a bright ass yellow with phw and my heart sank. I respectfully passed on a bag since I was really hoping for a neutral/everyday bag. I then asked her if she had any mini lindys and she said there was none in stock, they didn't receive a shipment today so there were barely any bags available, and def no quota bags. I saw an SA showing some guys an evelyne at another table, so it could be possible there's really not much in the stockroom.

We were in and out in 15-20 minutes; I knew that there was a possibility of this happening esp since we were at the store with the least stock, but was still really hopeful/excited since I finally got an appointment after soooo long.

Now the question I have is: does getting an appointment hurt your chances of getting another lottery appointment? I didn't purchase any bags during this appointment, which I know can hurt your chances of getting another bag in a short time frame. I am in Paris for a few more weeks so will keep trying.
I think the SA really wanted to give you something, a constance for that matter and not just any non-q bag, considering you were asking for a neutral one but still offered you something not in your list of colors.

Hello! First time posting here :)

I'll be headed to Paris for 5 days in April with my boyfriend and definitely want to try my luck at the lottery system! Previously have only bought a few scarves from FSH.

I'm also hoping to pick up a few smaller items and just visit the stores since they're so beautiful, and was wondering how important the clothes we choose to wear to the stores are (both for regular shopping and if we're so lucky as to get a leather appt). I feel like I've seen mixed/little feedback in that regard.

Thanks very much in advance!

I've never thought about it much, but I've also haven't been very successful in getting walk in appts or scoring a bag even with a lottery appt. But I think anything above gym clothes should be fine. As others have said, I would recommend just wearing what you usually wear.

Welcome to the rabbit hole!

I think obviously don’t be slovenly lol but just wear something that makes you feel comfortable and natural. If you are all dressed up and feel uncomfortable about how you present it will show, but more importantly, you won’t enjoy the experience as much. As you already own some H pieces, it can sometimes be nice to wear one as it shows you already like the house and it may help to build rapport with the SA who assists you. Have a wonderful trip!

Enjoy your trip! I would agree with Veritybelle- wear what makes you feel your best and if you do have some Hermes pieces, definitely add those to your outfit! Also, if you try the lottery sytem after a few days with no luck, do go into the store and try getting a walk in. You never know! Good luck!

I am sorry if this was asked previously: Do we have access to the garden on the rooftop in FSH? I did not look for the garden when I was there last time, and would like to check it out in my next visit. (I saw this on Instagram posted by Hermes.) Also, is the garden similar to the one in Madison maison in NYC? TIA.

Dress in your normal style. My FSH SA has told me that it helps to see colors a client prefers in case there is a bag that will coordinate. For example, if you ask for neutrals like noire or taupe, but she cannot find it, if you are wearing a blue gray, she might also bring up a blue gray or a gray blue… and so on..
the best strategy for him to try to grab me a K/B?
Have him apply for lottery when he gets there. He should also try walk in if he has time. I think @LovingTheOrange mentioned 330 pm as a good time to try for walk in. A smile and a polite greeting also go a long way. Make sure he has a firm grasp on your color, size and hw preferences! Good luck

From my understanding one has to be invited to the rooftop garden.

Hubby is going on a business trip to Paris in a few months. Could someone outline the best strategy for him to try to grab me a K/B?

Previous spend at FSH but minimal (2k-3k).
Def have him try for an appt online but I would def have him try for a walk in appt. Lot's of tips about this in this thread but many have suggested going after lunch time around 3pm. He can also try going around 11:30 which is when I've gone and have had luck with securing a walk in appt. If the previous spend is under your name he won't be able to use your profile since I'm assuming you won't be with him. He'll have to make the appt under his name and profile.

To add to this, he can’t use your profile so if there is something you want him to purchase other then a bag it may be useful for him to do so to establish a profile. Paris is very difficult for a c/k/b without a lottery appt or pre existing relationship but when I specifically requested a non-qb with very specific specs I had no problem getting an on the spot appt specifically for that. I already had a profile.

I have also lucked into a true bag appt but there is no guarantee of a c/b/k bag even with an appt.

Good luck!
