OMG AGAIN. After my husband’s appointment, I got my appointment the next day which is Valentine’s Day. My appointment got pushed back from 1:50pm to 6:20pm (DUH:amazed:)!! Anyway i managed to see a SA after the store closed and got a 2nd bag

I don’t have time to write my stories yet as we are flying back tomorrow early morning. Will update soon!
Congrats!!! Can’t wait to see what you got.

I know the system has changed in the US where you can take two bags at any time, no longer on a semester system. But does anyone know if PARIS works that way? Would love to take home more than one beauty!
You can buy two bags or ten bags if not Birkins or Kellys, or maybe super high demand items like Mini Lindy....but most stores will not let you buy two Birkins at once under one profile.
In my experience this is in the US, UK, and EU (still so weird mot including UK in EU!).

No, they will not allow you to buy 2 B/Ks in one go. For other non-B/K bags, I believe some impose a quota (2 or 4 per year or something like that I don't remember exactly) also but less strictly followed.

The last time I was in Paris in September last year, I got one Kelly and one Constance in the same purchase. But you can't get 2 Kelly's in one purchase under the same name.

Pretty sure the answer is no (as in getting two Birkins etc). If you are thinking other bags I think the short answer is yes (may depend on the SA though, we saw people reporting in this thread that they were told they can’t get a second bag even when it’s not B/K/C, but other people have said they are able to). US quota system change affects US...I don't think it changes Paris.

Anyone score any goodies lately in Paris?

I am heading there in May with my mom and am following this thread closely hoping to get lucky again!!
I just came home yesterday from Paris very happy.i scored a B35 black Togo in rose hardware at the FSH without any appointment on February 11,2020! We attempted to make appointment online during our stay inParis but it was always a denial. So what my husband and I did was to go to the store and tell them I could not get an online appointment and that if we can walk in . On our first attempt on February 10, we were told to wait for 30 minutes, it was about 3:30pm. I said to myself , I have a chance. After 30 mins I noticed that there were a lot of walk ins at the podium , so it gloomed.i asked the lady she said if I can wait 15 minutes , I did but said I’ll just shop if I can’’t be fitted and will go back tomorrow. I bought then shoes and told my shoe SA I really want a purse. She said come when it opens tomorrow and try to Walk in. Which Wedid. At 10:30 February 11, we were there and asked the same lady to kindly fit us as walk-in . She said 30 mins. We waited and while I was browsing and waiting, an SA and the person from the podium came to me and asked for my passport and scanned it. OMG that was it. my assigned SA was super friendly and came back with what I wanted plus made it more special because it’s rose gold. It was €8600. So for those who wants a b or a k purse. Do not lose hope. Just be nice .

Congrats on your new stunning gorgeous bag!!! LOL OMG that was the same day my appt but at end of day instead. Rose gold hardware was exactly what I had asked for as well but my SA offered the Barenia instead, such poetic stories all around. Indeed it is so random how things work out.

I live in Paris and just wanted to offer my two cents on shopping at Hermès here: smile, be courteous, not overly friendly, and sincere about what it is that you want. The SAs will do their best to accommodate you, but if they're unable to get you the bag you desire that day, be polite and try another day. I've noticed how some foreign visitors can be very arrogant, passing themselves off as important clients in their home countries and should therefore be treated preferentially. But to be honest, they don't really care. The demand for quota bags is so great that the SAs will be able to sell them to whomever and whenever they want to. FSH has the biggest stock in the world and is one of the few stores that can cater to both visitors and locals: you have a shot at scoring the bag you want.

A simple "Bonjour Madame/Monsieur" with a smile and polite conversation afterwards can do the trick. The SAs won't forget how you make them feel.

Probably the most sage advice of all

Congratulations! It always takes being in the right place at the right time to get lucky so it might be a very good time to head to Paris! I think the boutiques are unusually long on stock and short on tourists because of the terrible situation in China.

Yes, I agree!

If it isn't your first time to Paris, February is a great month to visit. The sites and shops are generally less crowded, especially during the week. The weather this winter has also been exceptionally warm (not necessarily great in terms of global warming, but pleasant for staying outside).

Just came back from an express trip to Paris where I spent the weekend. I had no purchase history in Paris (just in London and have never purchased a quota bag), and consider myself a H novice. I tried to get an appointment on Thursday through the online system as I was arriving the next day, and got rejected. I must add at this point that I had/have no intention to queue hours before the opening of a store. So despite not getting an appointment, I still decided to go to FSH as I had planned to get a Constance belt regardless. Got there just before 3pm, went directly to the belt department, and a very nice SA took the time to show me all the different options, brought me a beverage, and had a nice chat with me. He told me that even as a member of staff, there was no special privileges in order to get a B/K. I asked him if there was any chance I could see a leather SA after my purchase, and he kindly went with me to ask if there was any slots. They had unfortunately no availability for that day. I thanked him for all his help and paid for my belt. I decided to try my luck at the Sèvres store as I would be in the area for a meeting later. I got there just after 4pm and asked if it was possible to look at some bag. Much to my surprise, the lady in charge of appointments called a leather SA, and he immediately asked me what I was looking for. I told him I was looking for an Evelyne TPM and/or a Kelly 25. Sadly, there was no TPM Evelynes (but plenty of larger sizes), and no small K, but 32/35 available. I’m not interested in any sizes other than 25 (and even if there were any, I would only want black togo retourne in PHW - very specific and popular) so didn’t ask to look at them. We had a quick chat and he told me to come again in the future after the opening to avoid queueing.

So that was my H experience in Paris - I was actually here on Saturday as well, but didn’t get an appointment through the online system for FSH and had plans already for the day so wasn’t intending to swing by Sèvres or try George V. I felt that unlike what I had read previously, the staff isn’t necessarily snooty or cold, and will try to help you if they can. I would also say to those who don’t manage to get an appointment online to try in store anyway: the worst thing you risk is them saying no! I’m very conscious that my Kelly specs are very specific, so I wasn’t surprised to be told that they didn’t have what I wanted at that time. The SA did mention that the Evelynes TPM are becoming increasingly popular so the stock can be rather limited. My final word would be please try to enjoy the city first and foremost, even if you don’t manage to score what you want!

While I am sorry you couldn't find what you were looking for ( like me, you are so specific it really CAN'T be anyone else's fault!), I am thrilled you had such a lovely experience at H ( and hopefully had an otherwise great time in Paris). And,as said before by those much smarter than I, just being pleasant and respectful of others goes a long way ( in this and everything else!)
