Thanks everyone for sharing. It seems that getting an exotic is actually harder than getting a normal leather?
Is ostrich or lizard any easier than croco?

All difficult as long exotic
Is either you're super lucky
Or dropped big $$$ during your visit

I have a COMPLETELY opposite experience with exotics. I have just recently been offered a croc B35 in Paris. It was along he lines of “Very sorry Mam, I don’t have exactly what you are after, but I do have a Crocodile birkin in size 35 if you are interested?”. And on my previous trip I was offered C18 or C24 in Ostrich. Also the SA said they had a K28 in Ostrich available. But since I am not interested in exotics, I politely declined all.

Read my replies
I mentioned either luck or spending
Right?

Possibly... but to be honest in my case it’s neither :-s I can’t say I ever bought more than an odd twilly and/or a click H bracelet from France ... and I usually also have the worst luck  as all I want is Togo/Epsom and I keep getting those exotic offers I can’t afford! Wish I could just get normal bag offers instead

Bahahaha oh maybe I just have that bogan look about me and that’s just the way they are trying to get rid of me ..thinking ..”Maybe if we offer her a bag she (FOR SURE) can’t afford, she will finally bugger off and won’t come back”...

If you read a bit further back, you will see several of us said similar with what you were experiencing. Big croc bags are not in demand. Ostrich is not that difficult as it's not the most popular leather and not considered to be a "true" exotic. One of the stores I frequent said they were "semi-exotics" when they offered me a choice of those a few years' back (I declined as I don't like ostrich myself). It's the small croc / lizard bags are the most difficult to get offered.

Guys quick question:

1- I have 2 nationalities, can I apply with both passport appointment online?
2- I cant remember if I read it correctly, if me and DH apply for the online appointment, do we need 2 different cellphone numbers? Or it can be on the same cellphone?

I also have dual nationality, but I decided against using both passports to try for an appointment for one simple reason: tax refund.

If you happen to score an appointment with the passport you did not use to enter the EU, just remember that your invoice from Hermes will be issued with that particular passport details. So if you are not planning to use that passport to exit the EU, you might have an issue with getting your tax refund as there will be no record on the customs system that you have exited the EU.

I was at FSH last week and went to see my regular SA. Among my desired items were a Kelly 32 black retourne or a Bolide 31 in gold. On Wednesday there were no retourne Kellys in 32. I returned on Thursday and there still were no retourne Ks in 32 or 28 and the only color of Bolide 31 was black. She offered me a Kelly Sellier 32 in black with GHW. I think a black Sellier is a classic and was very happy to get it. I had also asked about Birkin 25s in neutral colors and there were none. Red pink and green were available. It seemed to me that the inventory wasn't as good as it has been at other times. It was Haute Couture fashion week. Perhaps that
is why. Here is the bag. Quite classic and lovely.

Many thanks @OzSplannie !
I live in the EU so no tax refund concerns for me at FSH, but good to keep in mind.

Good point!!! Thanks for the heads up!!!

I’ve been in Paris since 1/28 trying to score my first Kelly without success. Somehow my friend and I both forgot to apply for appointments for Monday the Saturday before our flights :annoyed:. So after landing in Paris, we tried getting a walk-in appt at FSH on Monday and was refused. I ended up buying a few things from my wishlist (neo boots and silk scarf) hoping it will help with my online appt requests. Then we went to Sevres and was told no BKC. Didn’t bother going to George V the first day. That night we both got rejected for Tuesday FSH appts :-s.

Made the rounds to Sevres when it opened, then FSH and George V on Tuesday and was told the same “no madame no deliveries” line. But of course later I see on Instagram stories and posts, people getting offered BKCs at George V and FSH.

That night at dinner I screamed out loud when I was confirmed for an appointment at FSH for Wednesday .

The next morning I met with my SA and gave her my specs. She came back holding a small box, which I knew was too small for any kelly I wanted ..... But I was offered a C18 noir in box with GHW and of course I took it! I’m very happy with the bag but since I came to Paris with my heart set on getting a Kelly, I still feel a bit disappointed. I asked the SA if it would still be possible for me to get a Kelly on this trip even if I take the C18 and she assured me yes.

However, I’ve continued trying for online appts and going to Sevres and George V and keep getting told that since I just bought the Constance I cannot buy a Birkin or Kelly. Of course they also tell me they have nothing in stock :oh:.

I leave Sunday morning. So I will continue trying for my Kelly, which I’ve wanted for at least 20 years since I was in middle school . Now that I’ve finally finished my medical training, I can actually afford them for myself. Hermes just does not want to offer me any

Has anyone been lucky to score a kelly or birkin this past week from 1/28-now at FSH, Sevres, or George V?

Good luck and happy shopping everyone!
