Congratulations you are so lucky! She is a gem! May I ask what was your description of what you wanted? Did you give her style, size, colour, hardware option?

Ooh, I love those two colors! And they were both on my wishlist when I was at FSH. But it actually turned out to be something quite different from what I asked. Reveal coming up!

I really wanted to take better pic of my new baby it looks like weather isn’t going to clear up early as I hoped. And then it got to me, it isn’t as if you guys don’t know how a Kelly look like anyway, lol. So I’ll just go ahead with the reveal.

I was actually supposed to be, or more like thought I would be in London right now. Our flight to Europe was actually to London, and we were to only hop over to Paris when either of us secure an appointment with FSH. However, our requests went through with just first try and that meant we had to leave London as soon as we landed at LHR. And like in that Steve Martin movie, we end up taking the plane, cab, and then train to get to Paris. I felt so silly the whole time as after all, Paris is only several hours away from NYC if one took a nonstop flight from JFK.

On Monday, I woke up with not much time left till appointment time. And as if that wasn’t enough, time kept moving forward.
“Isn’t this a bad sign?” I ask my sister.
“I mean, it feels like they are just saying no, no, no to everyone.” Sis shrugs. She doesn’t really care much as her appointment time is much later in the day.

Just as I was afraid leaving my hotel, the time has moved up again and I am getting “sa is easy for you” text as I get in my Uber ride. Luckily my hotel is not too far away and I make it there only several minutes after and checked in with the leather hostess. She didn’t ask for my passport like some reported but just took the name.

A very cute guy who was standing next to the hostess stepped out after that and I was a bit confused at first. I thought he could not be my SA! Because I immediately liked him!! I mean with my past luck at FSH, it was impossible they can set me up with someone I liked by just a quick glance.

But he really was my SA! And IT happened. I told him how my top fave color is pink, so anything with “rose” I would gladly take, especially the currently hot rose poupre. And my second fave color is green so malachite or vertigo, I’m good. Basically any color on the rainbow works, which means nothing black, gray or even a bit brownish. And smaller the size, I like more.

He went away for some time and I could not help getting excited. I really thought of this trip as just another try. No expectation at all. But the way he was interacting, he was definitely more attentive than past SAs. And he was happy to hear about my interest in other items, which he said he would take care of after the bag. No SA in the past said such thing. They would act as if they only do leather products and that’s what they can do. And even with that, most were not eager to show anything else after telling me how they have “no shipment.”

My adorable SA returned just in time my patience was getting to me and he was holding an orange box. Now if it were any one of my past SAs at FSH, I’d look the size of the box and guess they brought me a wallet (something I’d never buy from H) or some useless clutch I didn’t even mention. But this new SA couldn’t possibly disappoint me like so. His eyes also told me I’d be very happy to see whatever he brought, so I immediately knew the bag he brought me.

You guys know the drill. They usually don’t tell you what they are holding till they actually “show” it to you. But the size of the box is so small, just enough for a wallet. It had to be a mini Kelly. Now just which color of mini K?

I was surprisingly led to an interesting room on the third level of the building, a part I wasn’t aware existed. I think it’s where they handle menswear alterations? But at that point I was too excited and my eyes could not focus on anything much in the room.

My SA opened the box for me with a grin, saying he just knows I would love it. And I did. I loved it. But I couldn’t take it.

What he brought me was chevre mini K in rose lipstick. Omg. Chèvre is my all time fave leather. I wanted a small K and I did ask for “anything with rose.” But my darn sister already owns the exact same bag! And I could not possibly own same thing as her. In fact I listed some things as off list due to this twin sister thing, which he laughed about before. But I have left out rose lipstick somehow and now this gorgeous bag, everything I liked rolled into one, I had to reject.

He then quickly pulled out his iPhone after hearing about the reason though and asked me how I feel about xxxx. Even before I could answer, sister yells out “She loves it! Give it to her!!” He literally ran out of the room hearing that, saying he has to get it really fast before someone else does. And couple minutes later he reappears, short of breath, holding a new orange box. I told him “From now on you are my favorite person in Paris”

There’s actually a whole another story about bleu electrique involving my sister but that, I shall start another thread.

I didn’t have to look at it for a long time nor even hold it in my hands. I immediately said “yes, of course I’ll buy it.”

I have no idea why this time around the experience is so different from the last time. It definitely is not because I looked or dressed better than the past visits. If anything, it was worse as my hair was all tangled up and messy due to going to bed straight after showering. I did have a H bag and couple more H items on but these were pretty much how I looked every time. But somehow my new H Angel was treating me differently from the past SAs. He even mentioned about how Hermes likes the returning customers and etc, and he wanted to really get me happy as he can see how we (sis and me) are good customers. And that was a comment I didn’t really expect from any Paris SA to me. I mean there are lots of others who buy multiple more times than us in this city, particularly from FSH.

After I said yes to the bag, we went upstairs to get couple items I wanted from Home department. I kind of regret getting the items as they are China and would be a pain to lug bag home. But they would make a good addition to sets I already own. And finally we wrapped up the shopping for the day by getting two Maison de Carre twillies. Did you guys know they are back? I must have been out of the loop again as I had no idea and had to grab them for my sister who collects those.

Sister’s appointment was few hours later, so we spent time in the area by having lunch and shopping at nearby stores. Her appt kept changing as well, and finally settled down to a bit before 5.

Unlike me, she was asked to show her passport by the hostess and then the lady SA standing next to her stepped outside to lead us to a corner. It was the same corner I talked to my SA few hours ago. My sis gave out her wishlist, very similar to mine. The whole time I could see she was not feeling that comfortable with her SA, who was also not really paying too much attention either. Yikes.

And in the end she came back empty handed, just as my sister expected. She said she immediately knew it wasn’t going to work out soon as she saw her. Hmmmm... Do we really have to depend on our radar from now on?
