The newer ones in stores now no longer have the slots for the cigarettes. I'm sure no one is buying ashtrays to use as ashtrays any more. Especially not at Hermes. But no matter. They are wonderful for a variety of purposes. The ones with the cigarette slots will probably be collectors items now..
