peggyo, the sale begins at 9am and ends at 6pm. HTH!
You're welcome, my dear peggyyo. And no, you don't need any invitation, you just come at Palais des Congrès and .... line up! When are you going? The fisrt day always is a hassle!Dear: thanks for the answer. Can I just ask another question, do you need an invitation to get in? thank you.

it was 15 min for 90 scarves last winter but no time limit in other sectionsYou're right on this, stephc. You're allowed to stay no more than 10mn in scarves and shawls sections
It all depends on what you are planning to buy. IMO, if not for a specific silk scarf/shawl design, I don't see the point of lining up hours in the cold. Other than the silks, there are tons of other stuff that don't sell out quickly. And anybody "runs faster" than you does not matter because they let people in in small group, give them ticket number, and time it. It's not as a chaos as it was a few years ago.Dear Anfang: you have such good knowledge about hermes, whether it's about the sales or bags. I often see your post in other thread as well. It's really my pleasure to have such a nice person as you to help. I am thinking about going on the first day, as I will be in Paris 13th Jan, also planning to go to FSH as well, but guess that probably won't turn out to be good. I am struggling whether to line up for hours, some say that good things run out first thing in the morning. But even if I did line up, I probably won't beat those who run faster than me. Besides, Paris is probably going to be pretty cold in Jan, so it will be a challenge to stand outside and wait for a few hours.![]()
since sometime they dont do detax during tbat saleYes they still offer detaxe for regular price shopping but they do not seems to offer detaxe to sale items anymore. I think that's what the OP is referring to, isn't it? Or I misunderstand?
u dont line up outside, it is all inside Palais de congres.Dear Anfang: you have such good knowledge about hermes, whether it's about the sales or bags. I often see your post in other thread as well. Palais des Congrès doesn't open until 7:30am. So on the first day, when there are people who line up since 5am, they have to wait outside.u dont line up outside, it is all inside Palais de congres.

Staying outside and lining up in the cold doesn't sound great, my dear! I hate that and this is why I usually go the 2nd day. You have not to run. People are admitted something like ten by ten, znd you have 10 mn to make your choice for shawls, jerseys and mousselines. I could not tell you about the time allowed for scarves, as I usually don't go, it's such a rush...it was 15 min for 90 scarves last winter but no time limit in other sections

juss, last June only 10mn were allowed for shawls/jerseys/mousselines/men scarves. And the braderie takes place if and only if there are some items left.u dont line up outside, it is all inside Palais de congres.
i find it worthwhile a trip from abroad only if you are interested in buying lots of scarves, shoes and clothes, the latter being quite expensive even with 40 % discount. does anyone know when is the next braderie after the Paris sale, which is usully on monday?
Well, peggyyo, we are not in the H store, and anyway in Paris, no bags, no SLG, no jewelry. And the process is very strict. You enter each dept ten by ten, and you have 10mn to make your choice. You have not to run, and BTW, you are prevented to do so, which is much better. This is for silks and CS, naturally. You have not this for RTW, shoes, and other items (which stay pricey, as told by juss)I must have been misguided by recent experience at Ginza flagship to think that whoever runs faster wins. It really surprised and scared me, whoever run the fastest can claim the two b/k that arrived in the morning. People whould line up before Ginza store open, push, and argue just to be the first few person to have the priority to purchase. Ginza didn't care for this kind of barbric behavior either, which disappointed me.
What scarf size are you planning to buy? If 90cm, they replenish them just like Anfang mentionedI definitely agree, that's why I am thinking whether to line up and go the first day or not. If I don't go, I would always think what have I missed, if I did, I may end up hating myself for going through such hassle just to buy the scarves. Will you be going this month?
