Powder Puff, VigeeLeBrun, Maedi, Lanit, chkpfbeliever, amber_j - Glad to have been there done that! Honestly, having been to the sale, I totally think the markup some sellers put on their sale items is worth it. Being in the line for that long for only one or two items on the wishlist is certainly not worth the time, imo.

Yes, you made the right decision, lovely64. The crowd was worst on the first day and not everything there was necessarily TDF, as there's no SLGs, bracelets, or china.

I think the selection was great in carres and GMs, depending on the day you go, they're just in wrong colorways. But it's great for my wallet that way as I don't have to hesitate much.
I got some a CS GM on my wishlist and a 2010 mousseline stole that I never thought would be there, so I'm content ;). I hope to be able to take photos when I'm back home, as the lighting here is not bright enough.
Part of the reasons I went on three days is because we never knew what would be offered each day, and the people watching is one of the best thing to do in Paris, ya know. Entertaining!

I saw some on both ebay.com and ebay.fr already :graucho:.
CS GM was 498 Euros, Silk GM (Kachinas in white, coral, and another with yellow border; Coaching in several cws) was around 400 euros.

Thanks chestnutty. I guess it is an experience that all Orange addicts should try out once in their lifetime. 498 Euros really is a steal. I hope you score something nice for yourself.

Ladies, sorry about the delayed reporting! I went at the sale on Thursday around 11am, and had something like 3/4h lining up.

I can confirm what was told by juss : some ELenK but not so much, some Au Fil du Carré, plenty of Thalassa and some Tendresse Féline. 2 Concours d'Etriers, one pink one turquoise. Not a crazy choice of jerseys, but some oldies-but-goodies to grab.

As for me, I bought a 140 dip-dye Bouclerie d'Attelage in this perfectly dark cw charbon/encre/vert, pic from ebay, I really could not make a great pic of it, a 90 jersey Brides de Gala Bayadère noir/blanc/gris I wanted since forever, a maxi-pointe Brides de Gala en Désordre in the kaki/prune cw, and a kaki/marine CS GM losange. No mousselines, not my cws and/or designs. No winter hats available in my size and a really pricey RTW. So I stuck to jerseys and GM! But I'm very happy with my loot!

Old thread but you did great at the sale, Anfang. I just Googled Bouclerie d'Attelage dip dye as I was looking at the purple/pink -ish cw but then I saw this pic of your Bouclerie d'Attelage giant dip dye...first time I've seen it in this cw and I am in love .
Any chance you have a modeling pic of this one? Would love to see!
Is the background more black, or is it like a dark green/dark brown? I would love a giant dip dye with black background.

I have no mod pic of this one, my dear Chanel, I'm sorry, the colors are wery difficult to catch... The background is a dark grey/brown, not really black. And as far as I know, I never saw any dip-dye with a black background. I suppose dip-dying in black would totally hide the design...

No worries, Anfang, thank you for your reply :smile1:.
Yes, I think you are right regarding hiding the design when dip-dying in black, but I really love the structure and touch of a dip dye so perhaps I wouldn't even mind.
H. could call it 'the SO Black dip dye' :p.

But dark grey/brown sounds great too....I will add this dip dye to my wishlist, would love to find one as it would work perfect with my wardrobe.

Love the idea of a black DD. I bet it would be totally beautiful. Count me in, too!

"As for me, I bought a 140 dip-dye Bouclerie d'Attelage in this perfectly dark cw charbon/encre/vert"

Lucky you, Anfang! I bought that same GM in August, 2012, and it was lost (stolen?) on a flight two weeks ago. The airline couldn't find it so it's back on my "Wish List!" Be careful as you travel, Ladies -- it's sad to lose one of your favorites!

Oh my poor girl, I feel for you reading this...Would you like me to have an eye next June sales? Who knows?

Oh, Dear Anfang, that would be so sweet of you! I will try not to get my hopes up, but you are right -- one never knows what might turn up! Please do keep an eye out for one, and let me know.
Fingers crossed and with warm wishes,
Erumesu
